Alto LXI for sale

Hey folks , my bro' has decided on parting with the old cutie pie love of our family.
Yes we are planning on selling off the Alto. Calling one and all to help me decide on a price for the car. Please do post a decent price that we can quote for selling her off.

Make and Model of Car : Maruti Alto LXI

Kilometres logged till date : About 35k

Service records are available from the time of purchase. This was my 1st car and has been serviced and maintained by the dealership.
No insurance claims have ever been made.

Car has a K&N stock replacement filter and a set of Mags(5). Tyres will last another 15k possibly.

What do you guys think I should quote ?

Get the on-road price of an Alto LXi. Depriciate 40% from it.Thats the least price u shud get.
For the best price, call a used car dealer casually and ask him how much for a 2004 Alto Lxi. Simple.

I feel 2 - 2.25 should be the range

My guess is a lot lesser ( in range of 1.6 to 1.75) based on my experience of selling my Jan 2003 Santro during oct 2006 ( done 32K and immaculately mainted) and most of these so called exchange dealers were quoting me ridiculous prices least being 1.8 and finally i sold to a friends friend at 2.45L.

My best bet would be to look for an individual buyer if you want a good rate

Alto has good resale value. 2.2-2.5 is about correct in bangy.

You have a stock replacement K&N. sell that off separately for a few thousand and put back the OE filter. It's not going t change the selling price but you will get a few k's of the filter.

@vid what you said is true. 2nd hand Alto's are relatively expensive in Bangalore coz I visited a couple of 2nd hand car dealers in the evening, was generally inquiring about the price for a 2004 model Alto and the quote was 2.2 - 2.4 lacs for a well maintained vehicle.

Mods please leave the thread open for about a day or two. Will check with my bro' and if he is ok I would want to post a classified here also.

What "word" your referring to? i assume your refering to the word Mags. ( some people still call alloy wheels as mags)

The car is KA reg n being sold in Bangalore rite??

It should be around 2-2.3 lacs......Nothin below 2lacs for sure...Anything more will depend on condition of the car, accessories etc

Have decided on a price quote of 2.30 lacs(non-negotiable) after consulting here and also a couple of 2nd hand car dealers.

If any T-BHP'ian is buying the car, the K&N stock replacement filter comes as a goodie in the package .
Filter has barely been used since its just run abt 100kms after installing the air filter.
