wow for a sec i thought i was wrong. see the problem is that in bbay ppl now wont pay 6.25 lacks for a 01 VTEC. reason bring that ppl will say i put some more and get a new city. u and i and mayb a few more will love vtec for what it is. but frankly i have seen no1 cares bot the vtec that much. they want AVERAGE . outta their cars. car lovers will duh take a vtec & practical ones wont. i know this since 10 ppl i know who have bought a accent or the new honda city. not surprising at all. i guess outside u can fetch more price. my uncle is workin on gettin a 95 pajero from delhi since its good there and works out 1.5 lak cheaper than here. he also bought a 92 accord for only 1.5 lacs. and trust me he put 50k in more and the car rocks big time. i love that older accord so much. brilliant

That's exactly my point revv, if a 2001 Vtec with 42K on it can cost between 5.8 and 6. How can a 2003 Vtec with 16K on it cost 5.75??

U meant to say that a 2003 vtec with less mileage is cheaper to buy than a 2001 vtec with more than twice that mileage?

After checking out and testing something like 40 Vtecs during my search, here is my analysis.

All are for Bbay/Thana registered cars.

2001 Vtec - Uptil 35000 km - 5.00 - 5.75 lacs
2002 Vtec - Uptil 22000 km - 5.7 - 6.5 lacs
2003 Vtec - Uptil 15000 km - 6.75 - 7.5 lacs.

Mind you, these are not quoting prices but actual selling prices. And yes, a 2003 Vtec for 5.75 lacs is a steal and highly underpriced by more than a lac - taken that there is nothing seriously wrong with the car. Something is wrong with the seller or his product.

Everywhere except in Hyderabad, the VTEC prices are crashing down. Now I feel that it is better to wait for the 4th generation VTEC on the ugly duckling which may be released in India by December...

Tell your friend to drive down to Bangalore. He'll love the drive, and he'll love the price he gets for it. Bangalore is Vtec crazy.I should know. Hunted high and low before buying my Baleno instead.

Dadude, realistically you should expect 5 to 5.5. A RIO kit means that it's been driven by a boy racer. Not the sort of car a prospective buyer will want. Besides leather and body kit are not of any value in the secondhand market. If you get 6.5-7, I'll come there and open a used car dealership!!!

yeah dude i know a modified car means a boy racer...before saying this ill clear out...i really dont want to sell the car or it might sound as if im jus talking all this so that people show interest in buying...
this car has been driven 20k kms in total...its my broz 2nd personal car...before this he had a modified zen and used to rip that car crazzy...every kind of stunt....360...park with skid...everything....but after that when he got this car...trust me dude...he drives it like as if its some merc...basically a guy who loves his car...that if sometime the kit touches the breaker....his heart breaks..hehehe...
out of that broz driven around 17-18...ive driven the rest ....now the way i drive this car is like...with complete care...because 1 thing if i screw around in the car...my bro will ruin me...hehehe....till now i have never raced in my v-tec....just asked revtech dude for a drag now...because he was like thinking when will he get to have a nice drag race...this car has been serviced regularly....has not given any kind of problem...driven my friends 1.5...the clutch of that car is so screwed..driven 9000..when he bought it ...it was same like mine....the car making some noise now...
so what im trying to clear out is...if a car is modified it does not mean that the driver rips the car and screwz it...yeah it is like that if the car has freeflow or some kind of engine modification...

Overpriced, regardless of condition.

I heard somewhere that brand new Balenos are available for 4.99 ex-showroom. Spend the rest of the money on mods and you have a brand new car under warranty for less than the price quoted for this one. Think practical.
