Beemers going real cheap

Saw an advt for a blazing red 535i TD BMW ( with a snap) in the august issue of Autocar retailing for 4.5 L at a used car dealer in Delhi. Though the year of mfg was not mentioned however, the car looked quite clean in the snap.

Also, saw another similar posting on indiacar as given below :

Hey PD,

Well, thats really the market value for these cars. Infact, 2.5 lakhs for a Beemer with 1.5 + Km is way too high.

At this age, a lot of work has to go into these cars to get them running well and we all know BMW parts are not cheap.

ONly recently my bud was forced to sell off his '95 Volvo 740iL for a measly 1.2 lakhs. This car was bought by his dad new and imported into the country in '95. Its been with them ever since and although they took car of it, bad roads and terrible fuel (now its better) have taken their toll on the car. They got this price after trying to sell it off for 2 years!

lol, but the cake here is taken by the contessa, my grand uncle who bought one of the last sold conti's in hyd after selling his merc(i really wonder why so many people did that), is now not even getting 15k for his car, and since he is very old he , he hasnt used it much!

There is a lhd 1989 SAAB 9000 for sale - asking Rs 3.5 L 65000 miles hardly used since 2000, serviced infrequently. Guy brought only spark plugs over so obviously not car savvy. Would have looked at it if it was used regualrly.

for all living in south mumbai-there used to be a grey 900 2 door convertible lying in the compound of shemaroo DVD library building (mount pleasant) which was unused for many years and has now dissappeared,,any ideas abt where that car went
