Viper, just use one of the numerous extensions available for Firefox on mozilla.org. (Link in earlier post). You should be fine, or refer to Tsk's post for specific one.

I use the Google Browser Sync. It synchronizes my bookmarks, cookies, saved passwords, History and Tabs. Don't need to create a seperate account. You can login using your google account.

Viper,

PS: I use Firefox 2.x, but the procedure should be *very* similar to 1.5.
PS: I assume you use Windows 2000 or any version of Win XP

I. Assuming you want to move from Home PC to Office PC (and you don't need what you have in Office PC)

On your home PC:
1.1. Click Start -> Run and then type %AppData%
1.2. #1 will open up a folder view, Double click Mozilla
1.3. Double click Firefox folder
1.4. Double click Profiles
1.5. Double click *.default directory
1.6. Copy bookmarks.html file from the folder opened in #1.5 to your USB/Flash drive/Floppy(If you still use floppy)

On your Office PC:
2.1. Follow steps #1.1 through #1.5 in the above list
2.2. Close Firefox if it is running in Office PC
2.3. Copy bookmarks.html (from USB/Flashdrive/floppy) into the folder opened in #1.5 above
2.4. Restart Firefox

II. Assuming you want to "import" from Home PC to Office PC:

3.1 Follow steps 1.1. through 1.6
3.2 Open Firefox, Click Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks
3.3 Click File->Import->From File->Next->
Select bookmarks.html from your USB/Flashdrive/floppy

Hope that helps!!

You do not need to go under the sheets trying import profile and all that. Clear user interface is provided as mentioned by jkdas, please use that.

After importing you want to make sure the ones you want to see on toolbar are copied to Bookmarks toolbar folder in the window that opens upon bookmarks -> organize bookmarks after import. There may be a minor issue, it may not show the copied/ imported bookmarks immediately, you could close the organize bookmarks window and open to confirm every thing is imported. This process works in 2.x.x.x, I think it used to be the same in 1.5.x.x as well.

Default export/ import happens through files

When you select export, you will be prompted to enter a file name (like saving any other file) to save it. For import you will be prompted to select a file, chose the file saved in previous step.

Please refer to one of the posts for details of import export.
