155/70 might improve ride as compared to 165/60r13 ,but it has to touch the body.
also the speedo rdg will definitely change.
155/65 will give more accurate rdg as the OD is more or less same.
but --
1. not sure if 155 tire with this profile will touch the body part.
2. 65 is again a lower profile.so if using steel rims it is prone to getting bent as was the case in most zens having 145/70r13.

145/80r12 shud be a better option if u can compromise a bit on the handling part.

Uh, my carb zen has the tire specs of 145/70 r13. As per last OD issue, Maruti changed it to r12 somewhere in 99 coz they were getting lots of complaints about bent rims. And i can vouch for that. Hey just wondering, since i need to change my tires as well, what other tire specs can i go for?

How will 155/70 change the speedo rdg for the car whose tyre specs are 145/70 ? I mean, how will a change only in width of the tyre lead to incorrect speedo reading?
Besides, does it make sense to use tyres having specs different from the standard specs without changing the wheels ?

155/70 will increase the ovearll rd ht.by 5mm
155*0.7=108.5mm
([(108.5/25.4)*2]+13)*25.4=547.19mm

for the 145/70 this is 536mm.
but 155/65 will have more closer readings.

Jesal, i dont have alloys yet... still running on stock wheels. Am gonna wait for the road outside to improve a bit. Right now its as if the entire US army has bombed the 7 km stretch of road in its hunt for Os Man.

hey Jesal ,
my actual sound sytem is the Automech System .
if its the music system that u r talking abt ,then u will not all be impressed as its the same Kenwood system that Maruti used to give on all VX models.
how can the F$@$% tirewalah say that he does not have 155 tires.almost all brands have this size.now even Apollo hac launched its Acc...range.
