Oxygen not reaching the brain is very bad news. But doesnt this happen if the heart stops beating? How else can the brain be deprived of oxygen? Maybe there are other reasons, I am not aware.

Have lost my father and then my Grand father to that slaughter house.
But the damn Apollo is alteast 20min further away, we have no choice but to drive down to DMC at any emergency.
Just hope his condition gets a bit stable so that we can call in a chopper and get him transferred to either PGI in Chandigarh or AIIMS in Delhi.
Cost is really not an issue for this millionaire family. And he's the Only son. :-(
I am now suspecting that this hospital is an incapable one. Also beginning to think that these guys are messing it up. Is it possible to call in specialists from AIIMS or Escorts.

thats a very bad news. god i hope he gets allright.

i request with folded hands all bhpians to take out 15 minutes whenever you are free and pray for his speedy recovery, well being and pray for the family to give them strength to face the illness of their only son and not to leave hope. i trust god will listen to our prayers and help nikhil get out of the illness.

he will be back with a bang

edit - ss, i hope it is not malaria. my aunt had phalsipharam malaria which took a really long time to detect. she couldnt survive. please keep these possibilities in mind. did he go out of town recently? please ask if you can and if possible the diagnosis report if they want a second opinion. we have really good doctors here in jalandhar. also please let me know what were the symptoms so that i can as from my family doctor. its just for my satisfaction. and trust me i hate DMC

I will try my best to arrange for required info.
It's really really difficult however, as he's not a regular guy. He's no less than a Son of a VIP family. so there are many many layers and people to go through each time even for a general updte
I will still try my best.
