Sorry but i didnt understand what your trying to say here.

For the record i dont religiously stick with this particular genre only ,have watched most of the movies from other genres mentioned in this thread except for some bollywood movies.

Maybe i should just post a review about CC2C or Slumdog like everyone else.

My partial list of recommended watchs would be -

City of God - Chilling Movie, remember it leaving me shocked!
Run Lola Run - A very different kind of non-linear movie!
Motorcycle Diaries.
Pulp Fiction.
Fight Club
Schindlers List
A Beautiful Mind
Hotel Rwanda
Jaane Bhi do Yaaro - Much copied but never bettered - especially the Mahabharat scene
The Departed.
Raging Bull.
Taxi Driver

Most of my reviews are regarding such movies only.

Hostel 1 is good ,2 has very few interesting scenes and a repetitive story.
Except for the 5th installment of the Saw series all the others are worth watching.

Some movies which iv recently seen/reviewed.....

Midnight Meat Train - 4/5
Saw 5 - 2/5
Diary of the Dead - 3/5
Vacancy 2 - 1/5
My Bloody valentine - 3.5/5
Captivity - 3/5
Philosophy of a Knife - After the first torture scene ,i stopped the movie and cursed myself for downloading it.
Undoubtedly the most disgusting movie ever made ,AVOID.
For such genre of Movies, you should watch Japanese/Korean gore movies! They are revolting/disgusting to the core!

Thw worst I have ever watched in terms of gore has been 'I spit on your Grave'. A rape and revenge movie - Has anyone watched it?

Felon - Its about how a normal family guy makes one mistake and ends up in jail doing hard time.
Very well made movie ,the director handled the subject beautifully.
Makes you think that we all are vulnerable ,should learn to appreciate life.
Must watch.

4/5

Oki -You mentioned torture and slasher or something like that, hence the post! And there are people who dont find these revolting at all, depends on each's sensibilities I guess.

Sounds similar to Con-Air

Finished watching "Windchill". It starts off pretty well and until the middle of the movie it keeps you engrossed. But, later on it tapers off drastically and starts showing repetitive and meaningless things which dont thrill you as it's supposed to. Hence, it can be watched once if you have nothing better to do.

Watched Ripley Under ground yesterday night. Very good.
How many Ripley movies had been made.
I had seen 2 of now and both are really good and recommended.

Slumdog Millionaire

Watched it yesterday night and am totally shocked as to why this movie has taken everything by storm including the Oscar nominations !

Nothing great in the movie over and above the kind of movies being churned out here in Bollywood - just maybe the fact that it's been made by a white man.

Performances were quite ok. Children absolutely out shone the stars - nothing exceptional. The direction is pretty ok too and the cinematography is the star here. The music is the pits. Rehman has made FAR FAR better music than the trash in this movie.
The plot is where the movie looses all - even if we suspend our understanding for a few hours, the liberties taken in the movie and the co-incidences are too much (and we crib about Bollywood stuff)

Verdict - 1.5/5
. Absolute crap like a Bollywood B grade movie.

Slumdog Millionaire is the most horrendously amateurish, badly made movie I have seen in a looong time... it in fact beats Dashavatharam in ALL departments!!

Clearly all these awards are rigged!
