Here's the way i look at it,
My Desire for it,
Driving pleasure,
Brand,
S & S,

Somehow i never considered practicality of the vehicle which if i did lol i could never have my 2 sweetbabies ...

My criteria, not in order of preference:

1. Engine - Power/Responsiveness of engine/torque delivery/high revving nature
2. Handling - Has to be sharp and driver-oriented.
3. Build Quality - I hate cars that fall apart within 2 - 3 years. Never touched one like that.
4. Looks - Old fashioned and understated designs for me. Would never buy an ugly design.
5. Reliability - I like long-term performers. Use all my cars till atleast 200,000 km.

first come performance
then FE
then looks
than comfort
but safety is of utmost importance and i dont even consider cars than are not safe like say for eg - HYUNDAI
a fiat palio is more safer than the accent.

To me performance is "GOD". Performance includes reliability, power, high revving etc.

I'm not easily impressed by brand image. We chose the Vtec for one reason, and one reason only.........pure, unadultrated driving nirvana.

Build quality - hmmm... not that big an issue, but yes i would preffer my car to last (without falling apart) for atleast 10 years.

I may never buy a car that will cost a fortune, even if i do have that kind of money. On a tight track, i would preffer driving the XTR over the Zonda.

Resale value - A bloke in Hubli was ready to pay 8 lacs for our 2 year old Vtec. And we rejected the offer, so......resale value isn't that important to us.

Regards...

it goes like this for me:

1) power
2) FE
3) comfort
4) strong & reliable
5) reliable & safe
7) sales & service
6) practicality-the car should make sense if i'm putting in a lot of money

hey lamborghini....i knw hyundai makes the crappiest of the cars (petrol) performance wise but to say that they are not safe at all is not right....i'm no hyundai lover but have been involved in a bad accident in which i was in an accent & the car took the impact very well...i thanked god & hyundai that day now i knw palio is a safer car but that doesn't make accent any bad...

Vishnu,

You should have included fuel efficiency in this poll, Its India remember?

Almost half of the voters did not find their preference listed in the polls. Performance and/or FE?
