I am on lookout for a low run car in good condition for self use.

bump : are the esteems in such a great demand that they aren't many 05/06 models for sale yet ?

Balenos are a plenty in the Mumbai scene. Friend just picked up a 2004 Baleno done 22k for around 4L. Thoda steep, but good car.

was it a VXi or an LXi ? yeah I too am coming across a lot of balenos but the later model esteems just seem to have dried up in the used car market :( and once available are quoting unrealistic rates ( mostly dealers) ....there are hardly any for sale even in times drive tdy...

i think thats the case in most cities. i have been going thru the same thing in chennai. never come across esteems. well maintained balenos are expensive to buy...... 2004 models dont come for less than 4.3L-4.5L even these have run 30k+

It was an LXi. Not much that is missing. Though his car came with a 2 din player and alloys. He went through TrueValue. And they do budge on price. Show them the money, and they will come down as much as 25K. Their margins are pretty hefty.

Abhishek, there were 2 good cars last sunday, did you see them ? one was a 2003 VXi & the other was a 2002 LE VXi.

@E_L : hi john.....yes i did see them..... the 2002 LE Vxi was interesting.....i offered 2.5L for this 42k run car.....he refused. i am waiting for a call back. the car in particular isnt is gr8 shape but just a couple of niggles here and there. i am going to visit the dealer again today. lets see how it goes.

Did you see the 2003 VXi in A&S ?.. also 2.5 for the 2002 LE is a good price, dont offer anything above that.
