LIVE TRAFFIC
From whatever I have heard, Live traffic assessment is based up on the number of Airtel users at a particular point at a given time..Now, that I won't call as a good idea!

However its a good initiative and hopefuly useful for the Bangalore public.

Man whitefield - indiranagar via old madras at this point should be showing a red carpet if the site is right.

But as of now, there are large gaps in those dots with even some green dots in between!

God save souls who think this is real time and make alternate plans on roads to be taken.Sometime back there was this Sify real time camera installed at a few places in bangy. That was quite helpful @least with the bommanahalli traffic.

That statement is not 100% accurate!

TRAFFIC INFORMATION
This system uses traffic densities recorded in real-time from a variety of sources, as well as locations of public transport vehicles tracked continuously. Traffic information is located geo-spatially on a city map, and disseminated to commuters, using cell phone messages, web, radio or any other suitable delivery mechanism.

Even if we see all these, what are the alternative routes we can take? Show me one from Brookfields to Sarjapur road without having to go through the ORR, or Marathalli bridge.

All this eventually amounts to nothing.

The mumbai version has been around for a while.

Mumbai | Bollywood Videos | Mumbai Videos | Mumbai City Guide | Bollywood Masala Video | Mumbai News

They need to install a few more camera considering the vastness of this city. Helpful nonetheless if you are going into the suburbs.

Yep definetely not a good idea
It's all crap, if it's based on number of airtel users. Think this way, there are 5 buses in a traffic signal, and in each bus if you have 20 airtel users, it counts to 100 airtel users. So according to the crap system it says 100 vehicles are there in the signal.
