the diesel is a 2l.

IMO - the asking price is a bit too high. another elantra is being sold on the forum for 5.6lacs and it has only run 27k. i know its a petrol but there shouldnt be such a big difference. or maybe thats a steal.

Yes, its 1991 cc diesel engine. It is a CRDI 2.0. My mistake.

Yes, the other one on sale is a petrol and is in Chennai.

Like the Verna, the diesel is more fun to drive when compared to the petrol.

The beginning of this year, the going price was around 7.25 laks for this.
Its come down further now since they have stopped this model.
Existing stock is being sold by the dealers.

The new elantra is going to be launched next year.

BTW, the price is negotiable.

It is not the VGT version that is on the Sonata Embera..

Man!! Price quoted is way too high atleast by 1L, and with the new Elantra expected in the market shortly expect the price to drop a bit more.

Yes the CRDi is a 2.0 litre Engine.

considering the dealers are selling old stock for 9l or so and the production has stopped just a 3 lac depreciation for a diesel car that has run 70k kms and is 3yrs old is way too little. that sort of depreciation would be for a honda maybe.

OT - but the petrol isnt a slouch either.
