There was a time when Windows used to run slow if a big size/higher resolution wallpaper was used. Now, PC has come far from it.

I used to have wallpapers earlier. But now I am looking at options to display images on my lcd tv instead of my laptop/pc. I know of a software called "gallery player", which however currently works only with some specific panasonic models. It comes with a preloaded/copy protected usb stick which can be inserted into the lcd/plasma tv that will then start displaying the HD images in a random order. Seen this in US and it looks great on large screens.
