Visiting Delhi for Auto Expo 2008 - Suggest Hotels - Team-BHP

I plan to visit Delhi for the Auto Expo in Jan 2008. Please suggest decent hotels to stay near Pragati Maidan. Budget Rs 1500 per day. No frills expected, just neat rooms and close to the venue.

Anyone from Chennai who is planning to visit and interested to club, please PM me.

Hotel in Delhi?? For 1500??

Guys, you are too ignorant about hotel rates in Delhi right now!! However, do give me some confirmed dates & I'll fix you up with some top grade Guest Houses which will charge you around Rs. 1500 including breakfast for single occupancy.

Hey all !! Its going to be a Nightmare visiting Auto Expo - I remember last time I backed away from the gates looking at the maddening crowd !!

If you are planning a visit then go the first day - Entry 750 Rupees. Media Day I think.

Expensive but worth it - Also these tickets get sold out very fast and very limited.

Ishan can guide you guys out on the hotels. AFAIK 1500 will get you rooms only around Old Delhi - Paharganj - Metro from there to Auto Expo Direct !!

Paharganj is the place whee 90% of firangs head to. Hotels ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 3000. Nice place, nice eating places too and its 10min from CP, from whr it takes another 10-15min to Auto Expo entry gates.

Paharganj is the best place.
1. You can get nice clean place for 1500
2. you can travel to pragati madan by Metro, without worrying about traffic etc., hassles.

`We should have a t-bhp meet there !! I'll try to get my dad along too. But I doubt he'll have enough time. We'll be having a stall there.

Saw a program in NDTV good times, there is a Tibbatian locality near ITO which have good and very decent hotels/lodges which are cheaper and cleaner than usual hotels in paharganj. ( Rs 350 onwards)
you can try that also.

And a lot of eating joints also available near by.

I am not sure if this is possible. If the mods and your father agrees to it, you can have a tbhp banner at your stall. Let companies know about our forum and take us seriously.
