usually 1hour 10 minutes commute one way. The traffic is the worst in Ahmedabad due to the enormous 2-wheeler populace. I used to cover the same distance in 30 mins about 5 years ago. The distance is about 12-15 kms. the traffic is at its peak during 6-8 when I am on the road like most others. :P

Think its time to change the timing. heheh

Nice thread!

My folks wanted me to be home early evening. Thus, I have started leaving for work early (8:15ish) and am typically on my office desk by 8:45 - 9:00 a.m. I wrap up work around 6ish and am home by 7:00 p.m.

I get home before 10pm. It's unfortunate that I spend so many hours on the road, negotiating through traffic, or else I'd be home earlier. Luckily I have a driver so I can read/think/sleep/chat etc.

I guess when I have a family, this will have to change.

Nice Thread.

Working at a Major DSA in the IT Dept.

Normal working hours 9.30 to 6.30 but not able to leave on right time.
I start at around 7 and reach home around 8.15 pm. Thanks to Delhi Metro, else would be spending another hour on road.

This isn't restricted to those working in India,is it?
If not..here goes.

I work for a biopharmaceutical firm in the Woodlands,Texas. About 9 miles from home, takes me about 20 minutes each way. Typically leave home at 8.15am,and get back by 5.20pm. Of course, the days I hit the gym,I'm home by 6.30pm.

Commercial Marketing / Retail Sales for Family Business.

Leave to work by 10AM unless I have an earlier appointment with a client. Close showroom by 8 PM and head home facing horrible traffic. Takes 45mins - 1Hour to clear about 8kms.

Need to hone time management skills and incorporate an exercise routine again.
