+ve for the indians dreaming to own a car.
+ve for Ratan Tata since he would be able to sell

enough to clear his debts on Jag-Rover Deal.
+ve that all the tests passed.
-ve that this is going to be a disaster to the Indian roads.

This is the beginning to an End.

This is strange and ridiculous! I mean most of the people, who say Nano is the beginning of the end for Indian roads, own more than one car!!!

I got a chance to sit and feel a Nano. Oh boy that car has good space for four 6 ft adults. But then thats it, no space for anything else & I am not sure how well it will carry such 4 adults.

But then again I feel its perfect for what its meant to be a city car as I really like the fit & finish for the price it retails at

Felt that this is the best thread to post this:-

The Hindu Business Line : Nano’s first customers have best impression

Some quotes:-
Quote:
Mr Ashish Balakrishnan, one of the first customers of the car could manage only 80-90 km. Mr Balakrishnan, who is yet to get a driving licence, relies on the opinion of his friends who drove the car for him. They say the mileage they got was 14-15 km/litre against the ARAI-testified claim of 23.6 km/litre. However, Mr Ashok Vichare, another customer who got his Nano on the same day, is happy with the 22-23 km his car runs on one litre of petrol.
Quote:
Kores, which booked for three Nanos is waiting for two more. Mr Thirani wishes that the manufacturers would bring out the vehicle with a trailer for carrying luggage.
I am speechless at the second quote.

Just saw a new Nano in my neighbourhood some time ago. Very cute car and paint finish looks awesome too. It was an LX.

Default Nano!

Here are the pics of the nano which is being used by a prominent dealership owner as his self driven personal car. It's too easy to guess who if you look closely.

Those alloys are looking too good on a Nano.

Here's an interesting Nano sighting. Clicked these pictures at CCI about 2 weeks back. The Nano's rims look like Pepperoni topping on the Porsche rim's pizza

I have never seen 3 bolt rims ever in my life before. At least not on a car. The Nano is truly unique in so many ways. Saw one in Delhi this September when I was there for a few weeks. It's a pretty tall car for its size.

Thought it was tough to get those 3 nut-walla alloy.

I spotted four today on the NH . Two of them were easily doing 80's .

Default Tata Motors may let others assemble Nano

Tata Motors may allow local car assemblers to put together its Nano and sell it under their own brand, the Business Standard reported on Monday.
Tata is building a dedicated facility for the Nano with an annual capacity of 250,000 units, which is expected to be ready by the end of March. Until then, it is making the Nano in smaller numbers at an existing plant.
Vice Chairman Ravi Kant told an awards function that Tata Motors might allow assemblers to set up micro-assembly sites across the country that could produce about 10,000 cars a year.
A spokesman for the company told Reuters that when the Nano was launched, outside assembly was mentioned as an idea.

Can you please find out from where the dealer sourced the rims and tires. They look like mitsubishi rims though.
