Yep, Sam. I am aware of that - read it last week on the quit-smoking thread.
Was asking about when he used to drink (in the past ie).

Although I might sound like a joker or mad/ mentally retarded person, my favorite drinks are :

1) Water ( lots of daily )
2) Milk ( 500ml in afternoon at 4 pm and 500ml just before sleeping )
3) Tea ( 9- 10 cups a day ).

For evenings (by default is whisky) : JD/Grants or Mc Dowells Single Malt/Blenders aadha pani aadha soda.

mahine ke aakhri dino mein "santra" or "patakha" with namak. :-)

Chilled vegetable juice?? Whats that bhai? I'm looking for a healthy mixer for my vodkas, hence really intrigued.

arre yaar B&T, its a packaged vegetable juice that comes in plastic bottle. serve it chilled! Simple! I tried it in US recently and found the same in my neighborhood bakery shop. So sticked with it. Costs app 70 bucks for 330 ml.
An excellent "healthy" option for mixers. Name is Peddy's.

Am not a social drinker at all and cant drink alone too.
Need some friends and the whole situation changes.
Good Scotch and Malt with a slight burnt aftertaste or something really smooth (without the after taste too)
My preferences, not in the order or appearance.

Chivas (Black Label is not my preferred taste)
J&B 15 year old Special Reserve (my all time favourite. The smoothest whiskey I have ever had)
Malts (not all but the preferred list is rather lengthy)
Black Dog.
In white spirits I only like Vodka.
Stolichnaya
Finlandia
Absolut
Not a great Belvedre, Skyy or Grey Goose Fan.
No Gin or Bacardi for me. Cant stand the
smell of Bacardi and the taste of Gin. Also dont like flavoured vodkas.

Love wines but either someone always bumps into me and spills the thing on my clothes or the wine is corked due to bad storage.
Preferences;
Zinfandel, Syrah or Shiraz, Chenin Blanc (though highly acidic, this is one I cant resist even at the cost of a heart burn later)
Gewurztraminer and Semillion the sweet ones, i just love
In full bodied Reds a glass or any Bordeaux or Burgundy is superb but due to some reason I cant have more than a couple of glasses. Maybe its too heavy for me.

Since we are on the topic of wines (my doing) a friend form Greece actually taught me how to enjoy good tannic reds (which i would find very strong and avoid). We (three of us) were dining at a restaurant in Italy where he called for Bordeaux wine and decanted it. We stayed in the place till closing (about 4 hours since arrival) and consumed 6 bottles of wine. Not to mention we wiped out our food ration money for the entire trip in just one night but it was worth it.
Open a good Red and preferably decant it (or keep it open for half an hour before consumption) to let it breathe. This exposing to air will, soften the taste, let the smell entrapped between the cork and the wine out and allow it to develop its aromas. Also in older wines it helps to let the sediments stay in the bottle) Try the difference and you will swear that the wine is a different one altogether. Other wines will not benefit from this process and are probably done by showoffs to show the world they know a lot about wine.
If I have to drink in the day (rarely that is) a Campari and Orange juice is the best drink and most refreshing as Beer is not a favourite and have not yet developed a taste for it. Can occasionally have a glass or two of fresh draught beer though.
Champagne = Yuck!!
Preferred drink in a party is a glass of soda water on Ice with a slice of lime or a dash of Bitters.
On Bar nights in clubs usually buy a bottle or wine and drink the evening through it. Beats making numerous trips to the overcrowded bar....HIC!!

In HOT weather/Summer:
Ice chilled KF Strong 500 mL can - repeat if wanted more.

In cold weather/winters:
Old Monk 90 + Thums Up 90 + plain water 60 + Sqeez 1/2 lemon - repeat if wanted more.

Right now, it is very hot here in Bangy. I am running for KF Strong 500 mL can
