hey guys!

i absolutely love this site and despite buying a zen like a week back. its put me back on my original track(target) to own a modified jeep!!

my suggestions:

1. how about a section on travel ? where members can post about their trips.

2. bumper stickers for everyone! for a small fee we could buy team bhp stickers. it'll be fun to meet members off line and also good advertising. i'm sure none of the members would mind spreading the word!!

I would suggest, have team-bhp.com instead of just the forum. And instead of a site which you have to manage and all, go for a Wiki which all members can edit. http://www.wikipedia.org is an example of what collaborative editing can do! My site is also based on the same wiki(mediawiki) but no public editing allowed

Such a wiki can actually lead to development of an awesome site over a period of few months having information about various cars/long term reports/addresses of modders etc.,

Hi a few suggestions :

1) Can we have a section which will list the best price shops in different cities where T-Bhpians are present. This could be formed on the basis of personal experiences.

This could also include the places/dealers for 2nd hand cars.

Benefit: If the shop is really good & get more customers from our listing/recomendations we can ask them to give discounts to the T-Bhp members

2) make an FAQ section, we have most of the people asking for tyres a detailed Q&A can be prepared for which set of tyres for what kinda driving can be laid out. Similar can be done for car audios etc. It may also have the basic DOs & DONTs of car.

3) Can we have have section dedicated only to concept cars.

These were what i cud think of now will update as & when i have more

Good points there Techno.

I like the first one a lot as many of us are not sure where to go to buy certain specialised accessories. A list of trustworthy dealers/shops in major cities would be a great help.

However care needs to be taken that this does not become a free advertising area, and one way to get around that would be for only trusted members to list shops.

Hi I too have some few suggestions:

There is lot of useful information for any car buyer/enthusiasts in team-bhp.com. But this information can not be searched in web -- via
popular search engines.

We should have some mechanism to have www.team-bhp.com to get
searched from Google/etc.

By doing so , all this knowledge-base will be at finger-tips of any web user.

Do we just want this to be a forum or more???

We could look at the following to better the experience:

1) Specialists Listing of people who can do specific works like engine modding, body mods, aftermarket parts dealers etc by each city

2) Listing and specs of all models of cars in India and prices as per Kelly's blue book

3) Space for concept car's or car's to be launched

4) Member car mods sections with pics and details by make and model's which could be rated by the moderator's

5) Used Car and bike listings with pics under a seperate section

6) Tie up with manufacturer's / Dealer's to request for test drive's and bookings for service online through Team-BHP

7) An Events calendar to include team meetings happening in each city

8) Change the definition of a Newbie

(100 posts? I personally think this should be as per the quality of posts and the duration the person has been a member of the site)

9) The source file's for the Team-BHP sticker's should be made available to members on line so that they can print them as required.

10) Online directory on Decal design's that can be downloaded and printed by any member.

Lemme stop here as I think the list is getting too long and I hope I haven't put anything weird here

Thanks for your observation. But the amount Google is indexing on the www.team-bhp.com is tip-of-the-iceberg.

You can verify this observation with following queries on google search box:

For checking at google for www.team-bhp.com:
indica site:www.team-bhp.com
K&N site:www.team-bhp.com

For checking at google for www.mouthshut.com:
indica site:www.mouthshut.com
K&N site:www.mouthshut.com

Search in www.teamp-bhp.com for the same, we will get lots of info
in teamp-bhp site. So only ver few pages from team-bhp is getting indexed at google.

In majortiy of the web-search-cases, I found www.mouthshut.com has more info to offer than teamp-bhp(actually we have more info. than any other site) -- from Google perspective.

I agree with you. With this type of wiki(with no non-member edit permissions), we can have better Knowledge base and it is easier for search engines like google to index us.

Since last year, I have been using a wiki (http://moinmoin.wikiwikiweb.de/) for the all techincal knowledge base and tips.This is used in my department(for internal use only) and we found it is easier/useful to search/edit among all users in our company
