Eh tu brute Vikram? That pic wouldn't have come here if not for the scorpio

. Not having watermarked pictures does have it's downsides. Like see here : Mahindra Scorpio - the journey so far - Rediff.com Business .

But that's ok, it's quite evident they never clicked the pics and I always have the EXIF info in case the need arises.

I wanted to know from where you got that antenna and how much it costed. Is it motorised? Does it sway too much while driving? I'm planning to get one for my Scorpio as well

That's a HAM and from a brand called Nagoya. Had picked up a radio for a friend some time back and saw the HAM that came with it. Looked neat and then ordered just the antenna for the scorpio, doesn't sway much pal. It aint motorized or anything, just a normal antenna.

Does it touch the roofs in basement parkings (like malls)? I got a quote for 4k for a similar one but not sure of the brand. Thanks for the info

Nopes just goes about 3 or 4 inches higher than the roof. Doesn't beat the height of the stock antenna of the scorpio at-least.
4k for a local one aint worth the money man. Try and get it from ebay.hk if possible works much cheaper,at 20$'s you should be able to get one.

The one I saw was really well built and packed (he had only 2 of these) and I think the guy mentioned it was imported and I also recall him saying 'HAM'. He went on saying it is used in small time broadcasting et al. There is one for sale in classifieds (Hypertune) for 4k and I think what the guy showed me was the same one. Do you think its worth it?
