Never seen one in any advertisement or even in the Mahindra showrooms!
Me neither!

On probing further, here are the details of this vehicle. I wonder which model is Scorpio Turbo! Could this be a Getaway? (Hint from seating capacity)

A couple of surprises -

Color : Misty Silver
Body : Hard Top
Seating Capacity : 5
cc : 115

This seems to be a rather heavily modified vehicle. I wonder how he gets the fitness certificate/NOC year after year with such variations!

As can be seen, this is not a standard variant. It appears that once the vehicle was purchased (Scorpio/Getaway) the top was chopped off. The windshield on the vehicle is not the one from Scorpio, but appears to be one from a Jeep perhaps?

Just my assumptions looking at the pic.

Woah! That looks proper scary! But seeing the places Marengo has visited, doesn't really seem out of place!

Back to the road then, somewhere on NH1 just before CHD.

Sir,
This is indeed a Scorpio Getaway which is doing the circuit in Bandhavgarh Safari. These are generally available when you book a safari with a 5* hotel. Believe there are atleast 2 of such examples doing job. You also have a Tata Mobile apart from the regular doses of Gypsies.

What was interesting to note is that they are diesel engines unlike the petrol engines. Again suppose they have a way to circumvent the rules which specifies clearly that only petrol engine cars are allowed inside the park.

One from my recent run to Himachal. This was taken just after Narkanda.

Dear Folks,

I am now (almost) the proud owner of a 4WD Scorpio LX, and here I name it the "SCORPION KING" (unless this name is already taken ).

The car just arrived from Pune plant last night and was brought to the dealership today for my viewing. I took some quick photos with my phone. Please find below. Still a few more days to go before I drive it home - have to get the loan disbursed, registration done etc.

One question for owners of 4WD Scorpios who did not get alloy wheels: see the round gap in the middle of the rear wheel in the 3rd pic below? Where can I get a small hub-cap to fill this? Dealer suggested putting on wheel cover which I don't want to go with?

Regards.

Check for the cap provided for the Alloys (protruding ones for 4x4), these are available as accessories, I guess the size should be the same, you can purchase 4 of them to maintain symmetry for all 4 tyres

Here's a picture of mine at the Indiranagar RTO. (I had gone to get my tattered and torn "booklet" licence converted to a smartcard). Mr. Sinha, did you find a solution to the hub cap issue for the rear wheel? Why did you decide not to go for wheel covers - aesthetics or other issues like rattling etc?
