| Now anyway those since the SLE is available without the electronics, there should be no debate on whether they are useless or otherwise. Anyone who wants them can pay the extra dough and be happy. |

| Senior - BHPian | saw this pic in another forum. now this is the older 2.6 CRDe. the scorpio is at 170 kmph. now since the mHawk has 5 bhp more & is 80 kgs lighter, does that mean it can go faster, maybe till 175 kmph? i have only tried till 165 kmph! |

| Senior - BHPian | also, 1 more thing to note here that the switch for the 'hazard lights' in this scorpio is on the steering column, whereas on my scorpios, it has always been on the dash! |

The old convention for placement of hazard light controls by automobile manufacturers was on the top of the steering column just near the steering. So all older cars follow this convention. Now this has been shifted to the dash centre and the switch is triangular with a backlit red triangle. So in all newer cars we find this switch, which can be mistaken for the AC on/off switch by many. | |

| Senior - BHPian | If there is one thing more crazier than driving a Scorpio at 170 kmph it's taking a picture while doing it. No offence to Scorpio or Safari fans but these vehicles have fairly dated platforms and it is not safe to be at regularly drien at these speeds unless ofcourse it is a one off to over take or something. |

| Well whoever he is, he's done a great job of drivng at 170 and managing to click the pic at the same time. Sure must have been in a very "compromising" position at the time. |

| WOW! thats a lot for a scorpio! I am sure he has to be on a down hill. I dont think scorp can go that high on a straight stretch. And from personal experience of high speeds like this I would totally agree with ramkya1 about awaking the YAMRAJ (thankfully my days of challenging death are over)I hope the other dare devils learn it before something bad happens ![]() |

While it is true that the person himself is at high risk, let us remember the passengers AND all other Road Users who may be in the vicinity at the same time. While I dont want to sound sanctimonious, I think as responsible TBHP members, this type of thing should be actively discouraged. |

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | this comment my friend, is bang on frankly we were debating a lot last year on this forum as to Mahindra's likely strategy and everything. In a sense I wish I had waited a year before buying but in hindsight Ive enjoyed my 2.6 a great deal this last one year. and anyway, with each passing year, better things will keep coming out cheers Quote:
