Sirji your graph is suggesting on jan 05 the market was at 6500 (approx) and till today market is above that level.

If you would have bought any shares at that level those will be in +ve today also. (Don't be script specific for this statement)

Was it 3211 or 2211? It is going in that direction to be sure and not too slowly either. I don't know why some people love making baseless predictions that get proven wrong virtually immediately.

Probably, their job application was rejected by the meteorology department. And worse, the post of astrologer on all TV channels was full.

The nifty is 2616 as I write this.

I believe that current times are an excellent time to invest in the markets, But, But, only for those people who can leave their investments alone atleast for the next 3-5 years.

If invested in good fundamental dividend paying companies, I mean the bluest of the blue chips, I think that the returns should be atleast 200-300%, but in 3-5 years.

But hey, this is my personal view and any investment should never be made without proper study of the company's fundamentals, risk analysis, management of the company, etc, etc

Hi Tanveer,
I would love to give you my opinion, but i have just 5-6 scrips that I study. they being (RIL, TATASTEEL, TATATEA, INDIANHOTEL, and acouple more). If you ask me about the business prospects of these, they appear very good. And whether you ask me if ill buy them at the current price levels ill say yes.

What I can do is that whenever i come accross any research reports on any of the above companies ill forward you the reports.

But as i said in my earlier post one would be much better off investing in good blue chip companies. Thats what i do.

Update:-ECB meet on Thursday and mostly expect a rate cut in a meet. This will make Euro wearker and $ stronger as per basic calculation.

Little difficult for those who do not understand E.Wave, here is the study for Nifty using yday data.
Lower box clearly tells that exit near 2500 level so investors or positional traders should keep 2500 level in their minds.

I was very specific my friend !! I quoted your quote. But I must say you are not the only one. There are a few others here as well who think they have seen tomorrow.
If you understand Elliott Wave principles so well then why don't you give a time frame for your prediction? And put your money where your mouth is.
Also, at around 2600 you predict the market will go up to 3200 but you don't want to hazard a guess what would happen if it goes down below 2500 !!! So you are confident of a 600 point rise but not confident if the fall is around 100 !! Elliott Wave is the most perfect science in hindsight.
How many Elliott Wave theorists do you know who have consistently made money by using the wave principle over a long period of let's say ten years? I know a lot of people who have consistently made money over 30/40 years by sticking to the good old principles of fundamentals.

sudipto, the experienced, I have a question-

This is the first time I would be investing in stocks and feel this is the right time to do. I want to invest for long term say 5-8 years, so could you suggest me some 10 stocks which have good fundamentals as per you. I can make my 10 but want to know how it tallies with your list. Of course I know that nothing is for sure but a good guess is what I am looking for.
