Had done it only once, was a family travelling from Delhi to Lucknow & their Sierra had broken a front axle in the middle of nowhere. So offered the gentleman a lift till the nearest TATA service centre which was 15kms. away so he could get the mechanic & parts.

He wasn't drunk, he was just a normal Irishman!

No.

My policy,

Do not ask for a lift from a stranger, do not give a lift to a stranger.

No 99% of the time.
Although I admit I have given lift to a Guy from binsar to some small village.
He approached my car badly bleeding. Had fallen down a mountainside or something.
I just could not refuse, but during the entire 20 minutes I expected him to whip out a knife or soemthing

No, but I would stop if a family is stranded on the highway.

A friend of mine had this bitter experience in Hyderabad. He gave a lift to a school kid, in the city. Unfortunately met with an accident and the kid was hurt bad. The kid's father sued my friend in the court for causing permanent disablity to his child and actually won the case.

I have voted NO. I will never ever give a lift to any stranger. Location, age, sex will not be considered. If I do not know you, I am not stopping. Sorry.

Cheers,
Rajan

I have voted "maybe" depending on the situation. If its something serious like any accident prone victims needing attention, ofcourse TeamBhpian having a vehicle breakdown displaying BOLD TBHP POSTER .

No, will not. If there were little kids and if it is a morning / afternoon, will have a second thought.

No ways would I give a lift to a stranger. Simply awesome advert though! One of the best automotive ads I have seen in recent times.
