Flex is a good technology (Basically it is Rich GUI design tool from Adobe) and few companies were developing many application in the recent past and now they started to move towards HTML5/Jquery.

The reason is that many mobile platforms (read iPhone) not supporting Flex as expected. It is not that difficult to learn both (Flex, HTML5) and that will give your cousin a better chance to grow.

The posting will be in UAE or TVM/Kerala. Salary will be at par with Oil & Gas standards.
