guys just found this site - digital maps of India , driving directions , route maps , building maps ..all in a digital format.

very useful for guys travelling in India .....

Hey dude.....
Just to tell u..
I'm working as Junior GIS(Geographical Information System) Engineer here in Cochin.. R&D on GPS machine mounted on cars is going on.. Very soon we'l have cars with GPS.. Donno how long it'l take though..
I'm planning to go to UK for my MSc GIS this yr end... hope all goes fine and I get through the visa procedures.. Havent yet got a place though.. Have submitted my appls....

Web based GIs is catching up.. Some good jobs in the offering.. Let me see if I can land myself a job in one of these firms..
