Gandhi,
Wow, great stuff! The light is so magical at times, it takes you into a different place altogether.

Samurai,
That's a stick insect. It's very hard to spot it in the wild as it chooses the right tree/stick to sit on to avoid the predators.

Here are two from me, couldn't contain myself from not buying the Oly 75mm. What a lens this is:

And one macro (made with Kiron 105mm):

Awesome shot @Gandhi.

Love the fireworks & macro @HellwratH.

Here's a shot I took near Belgaum of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha while driving from Bangalore to Mumbai.

Wow! Really vibrant colours ! So how far you need to get away from civilization to spot such beauties? Part of regular weekend jaunts ?

Thanks. Love the fireworks shots. The buildings and lake are what adds to the fireworks. Well done .

Thanks guys. Ampere, the shot is from a mountain close to my house. One needs to trek for about 2 hrs to get to this place, and the trek is a tough one. So, it's not from a regular weekend jaunts.

Great photos. Some really outstanding.
Here are a couple of them through the quentenssential 18-200.
And one with the Sigma wide angle. These are from around Dabosa. Just a short distance from Mumbai.

Wonderful landscape photograph there! Well done Gandhi!

It's an exposure blend of two exposures. One for the sky n one for the terrain. The sky shot is a 45 sec exposure at f1.4 on a 24mm lens. The terrain exposure is an 88sec exposure at the same aperture and focal length. Both were shot at ISO 1600

Your cat photo - I want to get that close to a wild leopard someday and shoot it

Yes, I applied a little blur. I was pushing my (limited) gear when I took the photo - the image is cropped, and had noise and reach issues (D90 + 70-300VR). I was hanging out of the Gypsy to click that. I don't think any of my co-passengers even got to click that tigress during those few seconds.
Probably yes, it could be an influence of the Northern lights. Washington state rarely gives you a glimpse of the auroras.

Like wise, I wish I could shoot more wildlife documentery work. Unfortunately, I have to wait till I can find time and funds to go on a trip like that. Till then, happy to go to the zoological park once in a while n snag a few photographs; like these.

I would request you Mukul not to venture into this area. Where will we go then?

Actually, it's a Sumatran. I have been shooting wildlife for a very long time actually so you are a little late with your request GD! Sorry about that

Very nice. You must be very patient to get such a moment in a zoo. And looks like you are a fan of clarity like me .

Well, not exactly a fan of clarity, but I bump it up a lil bit when I have animals with fur. It sorta accentuates their hair strands. There is a place for it, though not everywhere.

Thought the water ripples around the duck looked pretty cool, so took a photo of it
