I had clicked a few portraits a while ago, thought of posting one of them

Name: 3334910336_470d0276dc.jpg
Views: 295
Size: 84.5 KB

All clicked using the H50 point and shoot, and some texturing while post processing.

Regards,
TG.

That 100-400 IS L is an awesome lens. Put in a teleconvertor and it still doesnt spoil the image.

Good going josepeter, these are good silhouette. One suggestion, silhouette's look better with One Single foreground object. But then it's not a rule!

The Official non-auto Image thread-img_9994.jpg

The set up was with one table lamp behind the glass. the black background is my tshirt. and to get the red colors i used 1 red tshirt, 1 red bed sheet, 1 red towel. all the reds i could find in my house. sounds tacky but did give me this effect. to reduce the amount of light i took the light shade of its lock and placed it slanted. Took it in JPEG at that time (about 2 years ago), only realised it after I put everything back, so there are some artifacts!

This shot was taken about a year ago, slight adjustments of RAW in PS3.

nice shot and great processing TG! I can see the glow effect of HDR close the hill on the rightside of the frame, I have never quite figured out to do HDR's correctly.

Well it is not that tough to churn out HDRs, the issue is learning what kind of scenes are suitable for HDRI. Scenes with a large amount of gradient high lights and shadows are perfect for HDRI. Clicks with cloudy skies, reflective surfaces, textured surfaces, multiple light strengths are excellent candidates. Once you get the right scene, again depending on your experience with a particular camera, you got to bracket your shots with the best EV shift suitable for that lighting. then its all while processing, just playing around for a whle with the sliders will give u nice hold over it. And yeah gotta keep trying

Thanks for the remarks, I find many of our friends here are not fans of surreal HDRs, I personally love them! Here is one more of the surreal kinds. It was clicked a while ago, with the Sony DSC H50.
