a plane from red stewart grass airfield near cincinnati. I am surprised how so small wheels can run at the grassy field at such high speeds.

alongside: a 3 footer for comparison.

trying a hand at black and white photography. It is so hard.

Should I remove the random specks around the upper left corner. And the light on the trees in the bottom left corner is lesser than the light on the trees in the middle. Looks weird and artificial (even though it isn't). Should I work on that also?

Both are golden orb web spiders. They look as if they belong to the same sub-species (probably Nephila maculata).

Yes, of course. Trying to improve my noob. skills from the experts here in this forum...

For photographers in down here in south: If any of you are interested in a photo contest, submit your 'Butterfly' pictures to Malabar natural history society, Exhibition will be in north Kerala. You need to send by courier a 12x18 print of your pictures. (3 Max). - I got the details from Jkdas.

Planning to submit one:

Please tell me how bad/good is it, any PP suggestions. I have the Psd file with all the layers still preserved.

TG, Awesome shot... There's this guy in flickr called Patrick Smith, he creates excellent landscape photographs - the technique he uses is long exposure (~30 sec) even in daytime with camera on tripod, to get that dreamy effect of moving clouds. he uses some some filter as well, to cut off light so that the images do not get blown out even at narrower apertures F/22 with his wide lens. May be you should give it a try since you have amazing landscapes near your place to shoot!
