Posting one more of the last shots (i guess) with the good old Sonia filter, taken yesterday. Have more shots of this guy. May be crazy, but this guy was smiling and posing as if he understood that he was being photographed.

With Macro, DOF is very thin and it IS very difficult to focus. Support hands on walls, floor or any other objects you are able to find. And take multiple shots (Later, while viewing on screen, you may find the focus missing from parts like eyes in some pics).

Really great pictures everyone. This is one thread that I now visit regularly! and hope to learn more and rise up to its level. I usually have 5-10 pics that I want to post here, but then by the time I am finished reviewing them 3-4 times, I am left with none! :( That is none seem to be of that level.

This time though, I think, I have one. Please let me know how can I make it better, composition wise or whatever.

Tried selective coloring in PS.

Oh! its apiece of glass? Never knew about it! But will it still allow auto focus or we need to manually focus?

Beautiful one Abhinav. I like the selective coloring.

By the way, I liked the your watermark. Can you please tell me how you did that? (Yes,I'm referring to the name imprint on your picture)

Post post post. Some may get comments, some may go unnoticed, but that will still help you understand what works, and what wont.

That said, beautiful picture this one! (However, when you selected the building, you seem to have included a bit of the sky as well, top left portion?) As Klub Class says, love your watermark. I might try to copy this style.

The filter i have right now (Jayesh has it for around 400, for a set of +1, +2, +4 and +10. Its cheap, and is a compromise at best!), is identical to an UV filter and just adds on to the front of the lens. It wont autofocus! Same is the case with dedicated Macro add-on kits like Raynox. Focussing is done by adjusting the distance between you and the subject. (Here, you can get more details on Raynox, and how it focusses [Review/Experiences:Lens]: the RAYNOX CM 2000 KIT. - The Global Indian Photographer )

If you have the kit lens as well, try this way, and check.

Awesome pictures arvindmanju. Which cam do you use?

By the way, I guess that photography is prohibited inside the stadium. How did you manage to hide the camera?

Do upload more from the series. ( I know that you have more pictures with you)

Thanks for looking in.

Thanks CD, I was not happy to use lense reversal because it might damage the lens locking system on cam or the lens's autofocus while fixing! This looks a better option

Shall wait to hear your experience on RAYNOX and then take a step.

Thank you for the encouragement guys. It sure helps. Will post more. And ya, saw that corner once I posted, I have corrected it now, but don't wanna post the same image twice. Maybe will double check next time.

About the watermark, I have a very crude way of doing it.
In PS,

1. Select a blank layer on top of everything else.
2. Using the rectangular selection tool, draw out a rectangle wherever you want that translucent line/bar
3. Using the paint bucket fill it with white color.
4. Reduce the layer opacity and see what you like. I use around 25-30%.
5. Another layer on top of this for the name.

I have made a .psd file with these two layers and saved it. I just drag and drop it now onto a new picture. But be sure of the 'size' of the image, it may become too small-too large sometimes (when you drag and drop).

Hope it helps. Let me know if you need any other help.
