Isolated subjects on a street is very easy, smile, talk, shoot and show them what you shot, they will be happy to pose more, unless its a young girl whose father is around, you will be lucky if you can get away with your camera . Another professional advise I like to share from a world famous people photographer: Be part of the crowd, dress like them, talk their language, spend time around so you become one of them. Rest will be easy with the camera !

Don't get scared, but build a rapport and you'll see how friendly people are. Infact, about 7-8 months back when we had gone to a small town near Hesarghatta (where Shaju got an awesome photo of a little girl and called it "Hope"), the people there were very generous to us. I didn't shoot anything because I just wanted to hang out and talk to them. In the end, one man was kind enough to take us to his small farm and treat us with Guavas. I had a feeling, he would ask for money, but no, he said he just wanted us to feel like guests. These experiences want to make you go and shoot more. And yes, always spend time talking to them as they are curious to know what you're upto. And yes be prepared to answer the question "Why do you want to photogrpah me/us?, Are you a reporter?" . I have given weirdest answers to such questions and yes, talking the local language always helps . Hope, some of this helps you.

One suggestion is dont whip the camera out immediately on the location. Typically in markets, Just hang around there, initiate a discussion, make people around that place comfortable and mainly let them know you are harmless.
Thanks a ton for your valuable advise guys! Will try to get into it. Language wise, I don't have a problem in Karnataka. Can talk fluently in all flavors of Kannada. Guess people do not take me as a friendly person at first glance. Will try and improve on that :-)

Will try and make friends with people who already are into street photography. Guess that makes things more easier.

One more question on this. Currently I'm in U.S. Any idea how do people react to photography in U.S.? I have never tried here too but seems to me that people are more forgiving than India. Is my assumption correct?

@rjstyles, liked the 3rd shot. With CPL, the sky would have been darker and result would been fantastic.

Another one from my recent trip to patiala. Sheesh mahal.

Minimal noise reduction applied to the shots. I can say I am happy with the high ISO. Definitely cleaner than my 350D!

With wavelet denoise I will be able to push it to 3200 without worry!

v&v all the shots have been taken with a wide angle and the CPL was on. Just that I hadn't PP'd the last image's RAW much.

dry_ice thanks and most of these places are ghost towns where people have abandoned their houses and moved to the city for a better living.

A shot of the Atlantic Ocean after our trip to the Cliff's of Moher. We were plain unlucky while at the Cliff's of Moher, reach the top only to be greeted with a thick blanket of cloud. So had to drive further south and be satisfied with this view.

@Riju, loved the photograph of the house. Lovely colors of the lawn and overall.
About the Church shot in your previous post, had you moved a bit towards left and let the tree not blocking the view of the top of Church then it would've probably looked better. Liked the 3rd shot of that post.
@Dry_Ice, those were some really beautiful images of Waynad. Please do share more.
And here are a few from Waynad from my side. Bit old shots, from 2008 and I hope that I've not shared them before ..

@rjstyles69, Like your shots, Especially the Easkey house. that has a story because of the statues.

Shot @ Bangkok this sunday, Monks at Wat Phra Kaew a.k.a Temple of emerald Buddha is part of the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

Thanks Pawan and Dry_Ice. The 2nd shot was actually taken from inside of my car. It was raining that time and I didn't had my rain-cover that time. So just took the shot from the car only. Luckily it came out good.
Some more pics from my recent trip to Assam and Meghalaya,

We saw a nice Sunset at Barapani(Umium) Lake,
