Excellent shot, how much you paid for the macro lens ?

This is a handheld shot but I rested the lens on the surface.. Few of the camera features that helped to make this shot better

- EVF - great use while shooting macros like this. You can't bend down and see look through an OVF, plus I can adjust my focus manually to the highest precision.

- DOF preview. I would have initially shot this with the lens more open, only to realize the DOF is too shallow. Once you get the subject in focus, you just need to press DOF preview to see what you will actually get.

- Multi-frame NR - this is shot in ISO1600 to compensate for the narrow aperture, and multi-frame reduced the noise very well.

Had been to Mysore last Sunday. Here are few pics:

1. Mysore palace illuminated. Illumination is an event every Sunday and public holiday between 7 and 7:30 p.m.

2. Mysore palace by night. This is how it looks without illumination.

Yes it is Raynox DCR250!
Another fly shot -

I need to experiment with focus stacking. A single click provides very shallow DOF even in narrowest of apertures! This shot is f/29, ISO1600 in indirect sunlight.

Yes it is available in India, at almost double the price :( It will be about INR 7K here, that's what I heard. So, never bothered to search for it here..

+1. I have one too. Had bought it for 40 USD 3 years back from US. It's a must have lens even for point and shoot users. I was using it with my Canon S3 IS earlier, haven't got many chances to use it with my DSLR. I need to take it out and find those creepy insects .

Check out this video I had taken few years back using Canon S3 IS point and shoot + Raynox DCR-250.

And some photos too - http://www.flickr.com/photos/ronakg/tags/raynox/
