At least 75 die in Indian temple stampede - Yahoo! News

Quote:
One witness, who gave his name as Santa, said the stampede occurred as authorities tried to stop pilgrims from entering the temple to make way for a VIP.
Quote:
One child cried over her father's lifeless body, wailing "Daddy, please get up."
Thats very sad.

Very Sad... Is this the fate of a common citizen in our country? If this version about the VIP stuff is true, he/she should be lynched.

All it needs is one guy to start the stampede. Will our people ever learn from such mistakes.

Death toll now 157, source NDTV. Its sad how things go wrong and people get agitated at the slightest accident. We are yet to learn a way to deal and manage crowds when we are the second most populous country.

This happens just too frequently :( In the last one at Naina Devi - some distant relatives - mother and kids - perished. Horrible tragedy - and so many families set back for no reason at all.

Mods please edit the title. It happened at the Chamunda Temple in Jodhpur and not Jaipur.

Note from Mod : Title edited. Thanks. In the future please use the REPORT POST button.
