The perfect day for the driver to take an off.

Without speeding or driving dangerously, I came from South Mumbai to Bandra in 25 minutes. Smooth and quiet roads. Wonderful!

I reached office at BKC at 11am and everything seemed fine until 2pm when Raj and the convoy headed to BKC police station. The roads were closed, they was a huge mob here, 5-6 buses were halted, and some rickshaws stoned. Fortunately things were brought under control in a few minutes by the cops and rapid action force.
Just came back after analysing the situation outside, and its perfectly alrite. The WE highway is operational, but the roads are a BLISS, as NC mentioned.

Guys, take it easy with field work today also. Raj will be applying for bail in the Kalyan court in a short while. Though he is expected to be released, in the slightest chance that his bail application is rejected, all hell will break loose. Again.

The last time we had similar traffic was when the taxi's and auto's went on a one day strike last week.

Don't you guys think that if each and every village of India is developed and have job oppurtunities instead of the 5-6 cities now, this is how Mumbai's roads would be everyday? The problem doesn't seem to be of poor infrastructure but over-population.

Coming back to the topic, things were almost normal in the morning. Of course, if the bail doesn't come through then things can change to what they were yesterday.

Just spoke to Mr K. from Navneet Motors. Both their showrooms (BMW & Volvo) front "toughened" glasses were smashed. No damage to cars. The rioters threw stones from far and did not even come near the showroom.
The toughened glass saved the day otherwise the glass pieces would have been flung everywhere and damaged cars and hurt people.
They are planning on installing metal shutters now only to be used in case riots breakout in the future.
