The second one of the 'snowy winter' pics is really funny
The one with the rear view mirrors sticking out.

It did not snow in Dubai. At least, not yet. There was a bit of snow in the mountains of Raas Al Khaimah, and there was plenty of snow in parts of Saudi Arabia. I saw a picture of one of the smaller towns parking lots covered in ice after a heavy hailstorm. A lot of cars were damaged, needless to say.

As for the rest of it, well its a nice example of computer graphics and photoshop skills.

Weather's been pleasant in Dubai till now, will get hotter soon. For about 6 months in a year its a great place to drive around open-top in your convertible.

Thats correct. Snow has hit the mountains for the first time in recorded history (there isnt much of history around here anyway). Coupled with that was the phenomenon of the sea crawling into the lower lying areas one fine morning, flooding many houses temporarily. As this happened not long after the Tsunami, most people were scared ****less.

Heard of the same phenomenon back home, apparantly the sea just 'swelled up' and started entering land near Cochin and other places of Kerala.

Man this thing is worrying. We have no clue whats happening under the sea - will we soon have to shift from cars to boats?
