If one were to take the logic behind Ashmit and Amisha Patel's names as examples, your son would have to be named Jagesh, and daughter Kalpruti.

i think Aarav Patel or even Vedant Patel sound nice to hear.
I agree - i'll definitely keep these in mind. My leaning is more towards Vedant because of the meaning. But Aarav too sounds quite interesting.

Sorry guys but Gagan and Om are just too common on the small screens !

Champak? Chironji Lal? Makkhan Lal? Thirunavakkarasu?

ok, that was a joke...

Cant think of any proper names, but have you thought about a good nick/pet name? how about a car related nickname like Nano, Amby, Turbo....am sure "Turbo Patel" would have lots of girl friends...

ROTFLMA ....

I don't want him to think about him revving too much at this stage !!! Unfortunately I am not that much of a petrolhead to have him nicknamed any of those. I can only shudder at the thought of someone calling out my son as turbo, amby, alto !!!!

kalpeshc,
Congratulations for you and your wife for becoming parents.
I was in similar situation around 8-9 months back and thought of opening a thread here but didn't do.
What about Aarush -- means first ray of sun.

All the best in the search for the name.

Hey Congrats on the new arrival

When I was in the process of becoming a Dad, My wife and I had shortlisted Aira for a girl and Aarnav if a boy. Now that we have a baby girl Aira you can have AARNAV, thats my suggestion.

Congrats on new entry in your life

Coming back to your unique query, The way I am looking is that if you can combine some of the characters in your name and your wifes name, then you might get a new name not listed anywhere in the whole world.

I have tried this for a couple of my friends and it does work wonders. During my programming days (10 years back) I used to write a small code to run the scripting to meet these type of eventualities.

Do let us know if you can your names and we all can try to give you a unique choice to your kiddie.

Our names are Kalpesh and Jagruti. I tried that but somehow was not able to do much about these typically gujju names!
