Default Jethro Tull in India

Not sure if we have any Jethro Tull fans in here but the boys are going to be performing in India later this month. Anoushka Shankar will be accompanying them. Here are the dates -

NOV
27 - Kolkata - Science City Auditorium
29 - Mumbai - Shanmukhnanda Auditorium
30 - Delhi - Hamsadhwani Amphitheatre

DEC
2 - Bangalore - Bengaluru Palace Grounds
3 - Hyderabad - Hi Tech City Auditorium

I must say I'm surprised about the lack of publicity. I've not seen any ads in any of the newspapers in Delhi so far though its just 2 weeks away. Thought I'd share the info with you guys.

cheers:

Thanks for sharing, Suman. But if Ian Anderson is a "boy" then i aint even born yet! Last time when he was here, which was atleast 2 years back IMO, and he did his flute-with-one-leg-up routine, i was sure he will fall! LOL.

Anyway, Anoushka is a nice dish.

Yes yes yes ! Been a Tull fan since Dil (Madhuri / Amir) was released ! LOL

Someone had mentioned that a part of 'Khambe Jaisi Khari Hay' was lifted from some Tull tune. I used to stay in Asansol in those days of cassettes. Being a small town, hunted around for Tull albums in vain. Till I chanced upon one 6 months later. Aqualung came home and I was hooked big time !

I still haven't found out which Tull song was lifted though.

Will surely be going on the 27th (Kolkata).

"This is a time for spiritual uplift. A time for oneness with the universe - and Donovan. It is not a time for heavy drinking, overeating and casual sex with farm animals. That's out of the question!"

Count me in.

Given that the show in Bangalore is next Tuesday, think we should get moving with the ticket booking?
