I dont know now what to call safe. What are we upto ? The news channels doing same mistake as it was done in Olympics. I was so frustrated that I tired to call them and tell them not to show all this.
For atleast months the culprits would have planned everything.
Its purely hopeless and helpless situation. I wonder why only Indians are made target. I think we are the country who losses second highest no. of lives to terror attacks. Still our authorities are sleeping.

Its still going ON. I think it started with blast at Kanpur. And in A'bad blasts we were very worried. I was just asking for more information and posting like mad then. Most of our relatives live in A'bad. One works and Civil Hospital and barely survived. I truly understand what would be going on in minds of hostages relatives and friends. And as usual, the common man gets hit. Compare that to how many political people and their relatives lost lives ?

Where is the brave mob of Raj Thakkery ? Why is he not commenting. Why his mob does not come out and resuce hostages ?

These politicans are all mouth and need a good . Look at how many politicians ave been interfering in the "saadhvi" terrorism case, they are going out there way to try and interfere in the investigation to get a few cheap votes.
i just want to add a little bit of this since Raj Thackeray's name has cropped up. Where is his SENA? His followers who were bashing up every other person few days ago where have they gone?

He is so concerned about Amchi Mumbai and talks about external threat...Now threat has come and its for real....
where is he? why is not protesting? he is hiding somewhere in some closet in basement of his house surrounded by Y category security.

Now when it is time to stand up and do your duty as a politician to address the anxiety of your people you are nowhere?

state home minister is there, country's home minister is there,
country's main opposition leader and prime minister is going to be there?
then where are the takers of marathi manoos cause who are living in same city. Shiv senas leader is still playing politics. "Our mumbai has been taken over by terrorists" " Complete Intelligence failure".

how i wished these guys were there in TAJ when these terrorists barged? would have loved to see there facial expressions?

Just got word from a friend who is outside the Oberoi. The cops are still trying to figure out how to get the people out and end this. The cops have yet not assertained the amount of amunition being carried or the exact number of people. He was asked for a number but only could say four as those were the people he saw. He was released at 7am and his wife is still inside. According to him all the guests 600 people were kept at the Regal Room with the lights out and locked in. The people who risited or tried to raise their voice were shot or beaten. He says the news channels are just reporting anything that is coming to mind and also assumeing alot.
My Sister and brother in law were at a restraunt near the Oberoi and were there till 630am as the cops did not want to take any chances due to the close proximity to the hotel.
Two colleague of a friend lost their lives inside the Hotel. My Condolances to their and the others who have lost their lives.

I hope and pray that everyone and their families from the TBHP family are safe.

News from TIMES NOW says there were 2 blasts in the last 15 minutes. Possible Handgranades.
And also a Greek Millionaire has been shot dead at the taj.

So things still not under control.

What can even the cops/NSG/Army do if these guys have the hostages that they claim. If there is indeed a hostage situation, unless the government is ready to sacrifice a few lives - the deadlock cannot end. This is Beslan all over again. They suffered massive casualties then - some even going to the extreme of saying that the terrorists would have caused fewer casualties than what the the storming caused. And mind you, the unit that went in was one of the best that Russia had. I am not quite sure if any government party or anyone in particular would want to trade a few lives for the terrorists death. Just imagine the amount of pressure that the foreign government must be putting on the Indian government as their nationals are involved too.

Unfortunately this is definitely more serious and messed up than it already is!

Also, CNN reports that there is a TV blackout in the hotels so I don't reckon that the terrorists would be able to see the plans in action outside even though our media may try their best to brief them.

It feels so frustrating not being able to do anything and just watching the terrorists killing people with impunity. Deepest condolonces to the ones who lost their life in this terrible tragedy. Hope no more innocent lives are lost.
Pray our politicians learn something from this (though a voice inside says they wont) and not try the blame game to earn votes.
Where is our country heading :(

It is sad. :( The heart cries. Why? Why?

My heartfelt condolences to all those who lost somebody in this dastardly and cowardly act.

I agree with all about Thakre family. They divide the nation for their petty gains. Their motto is that don't let people live in peace. Now where are they? Why can't they come out and say that it only Mumbai's problem? What about the brave policemen who got big medals for killing smaller targets? Why can't they say that they don't need army commandoes and can handle this? All of them must have dirtied their pants, I am sure. DAMN DIRTY POLITICS.

We all should be ashamed of ourselves for such situation. Many of us support guys like Thakres for our own petty interests based on religion, jobs, reservation etc. The day we learn to keep those cunning SOB out of politics, our country will be much safer and more prosperous.

As far as terrorists are concerned, they are cowards and bringing bad name to Islam. Given a gun, and put across unarmed guys, even I can more brave than them. If they are so brave then why can't they challenge armies in open battle field?

And a some face saving excuse for English cricket team for their bad performance during this tour.

Those who have till now supported these people who execute the plan will be still outside and watching TV, so they can still call those who are inside and tell them reality.

I am not able to open news channel website.

My condolences to family members of the deceased.
Among the top ATS officers who were National assets, ATS chief Hemant Karkare was probing into the Malegaon blasts case, Senior PI Vijay Salaskar was a well-known encounter specialist. An underworld don turned Politician was said to be dead scared of Vijay Salaskar because he used to fear that if he entered into the operational area of Vijay Salaskar he would be shot dead by Vijay Salaskar. DIG Ashok Kante was Police Commisioner of Solapur before he was posted in Mumbai. He and his policemen had once bashed an independent MLA from Karnataka black and blue because he had acted smart on being questioned about why he had violated the Supreme Court order by bursting firecrackers late at night during his birthday party held at Solapur.
What is most appreciable about these three top cops is that they led their resective operations like brave-hearts instead of ordering their men to take the lead.
I salute all the brave policemen who were killed in the clash with the terrorists.
