Hopefully the news is true. My aunt and her daughter were at Oberoi yesterday, lucky to leave before this started. And my gf was supposed to go to Leopold's yesterday. Thanking my lucky stars... Hopefully all TBHPians and their friends and families are unaffected by this. Can only wish that the affected find hope and strength through whatever they believe in, whether its religion or something else. If any TBHPians are stuck between Borivli - Goregaon, buzz me for some company. Would love to help out in any way possible.

This is really scary, my heartfelt condolences to those brave cops/security men who lost their lives.

Having worked for The Taj for 3 years tears roll down my eyes watching the beautifull building burn to cinders. The whole reasons Taj Hotel was built, for guests irrespective of cast, creed and reliegion has been defeated here. But i am sure Mumbaikars as usua will show resolve and rise up above the situation and get the city back to its original glory.

Just heared, on of my batchmates at Dadar Catering who also worked with me as a Chef while I was at Taj has been hit with a bullet. I hope he and all those who are suffering recover soon and God gives them and their family mental strength to recover from their shock.

EDIT : As per DGP Mumbai, "Taj Siege Over" some reason to smile

Peace To All

I doubt it..
NDTV just spoke to someone who is still at Taj. Seeing the live news right now.
Most of the news channel are giving out vague information.
For eg: TOI says 900 injured and the rest are quoting 200-300.

Just found out that one of my friends was at Chowpatty last night.

Edit: Hostages rescued but the guests in room are still there.
6 bodies recovered so far from Taj. Figures could go up. NDTV Live 24*7

Do we still need a wake up call?
Buddy, you know what? the government shall order the security forces to take stronger action in order to save the 2/3 MP's stuck inside the hotel and in the process many other innocent common people shall also be saved.

Unbelievable. Yet another failure for the local intelligence wing. Condolences to all those who were victims of this violence.

Mark my words, Pre-emptive srikes across the LOC, overtly or covertly we will have to resort to that. Without support if ISI and the like, these outfits cannot function, time to act. Enough of taking bull.

There was a report, just around the LOC, there were 17 camps operational, don't know how many more are working inside India. It's not that we don't have the knowledge and skills to blow these cowards off, we don't have the political will.

Hoping the power to be will wake up and take action, visibly. Need special laws to try these guys and hang them up to dry quick, not 10 years as is happening now.

This is one of the most painful days for Indians, we're with you Mumbaikers heart and soul; this is a National Problem. I pray for speedy recovery of those hurt and safe exit to those who are still hostage.

For all those who supported this, "Wish your body and soul will roast in a million fires of hell and you'd die very very slowly".

I feel so helpless and sad. Betrayed and hurt.

Meanwhile Jenny's family in Germany is freaking out. Imagine if you had to let your daughter move (next month!) to a place you knew nothing about and then see all this in the news.
She herself is calm, but a little disturbed. Understandably.

I know this information is of little concern to anyone in the world right now and it's my own little life - but how's that for a fresh perspective on the incident?

Prome Minister Chickened Out of Mumbai visit due to security reason.

Earlier he urged Advani to accompany him when Advani was about to leave.

If he cannot infuse sense of security in his people he has no right to be our leader.

I am deeply hurt with our people who are leading us.

There are guys who are fighting for people unknown over there and these guys cant even visit Mumbai forget about visiting the site because of security reasons.

Shame on you Mr. Prime Minister!!

NDTV: Fresh Blasts at Taj and Nariman house.
@Danlalan: The 2 dingy boats were supposedly found two mins walk away from where I stay when I am in Mumbai. Some scary stuff.

Supposedly the explosion at Taj was the biggest one so far.

NDTV is talking about one at Oberoi as well. This is some real scary stuff!

Know what Sam? This is exactly the thought that came to my mind earlier today, that how are you going to explain all this to your future inlaws.

Its a new face of our country that the world is seeing, and its not a pretty one.
