Any pointers to this ruling? If this decision was on appeal from his earlier decision, there is something wrong.

Awesome!
Get ready guys, because the next time a taxi or autorickshaw bumps into my car, I'm going to call for a bandh.

@srishiva - thanks.

While discussing this, I would like to point out that judges are human, and their personal likes and dislikes do reflect in decisions. (A bit like certain gaynecs having higher rates of caesarean deliveries than others) That, by itself, is not wrong.

The strongest candidate for next PM... certain Mayavati

After government scams now private sector has jumped in too with Satyam and probably DLF too.

Sri Ram Nene's moral brigade in mangalore.

Gutless, souless politicians concerned only with the votebank.

People who need a cricket match to say "They are pround to be an Indian"

Have we learnt any lessons from 26/11 Mumbai... NO

where are we headed is anyone's guess. Sadness, dissapointment, anger, outcry but nothing's gonna change.

@backseatdriver
I disagree vehemently.Judges are there to follow and uphold the law and not be influenced by their own emotions/likes etc.And here the very same guy Balakrishnan has done a volte face.So its just plain stupidity,nothing else.Of course,what else would you expect from anyone remotely tied to the government?

@vinaydas
The annual hoopla around VDay has already begun in Mumbai.And it will continue this way ad nauseam.There is no one to stop these hypocritical goondas who don't have the slightest respect for women themselves and then proclaim to be defenders of women's dignity and,of course,"our culture".As witnessed by everyone recently,"our culture" for women is to kick them and stamp on them
