Just been there today. Security is tight. All sorts of cameras allowed. If there's something you cannot click, someone will tell you, otherwise click away.

Most of the aerial acrobatics go on right over the exhibition or the business centre area which is a bit further off from the general public viewing area.

This is my 4th consecutive visit and everytime I've gone on the business ticket. However not everyone might like it. I liked some of them especially the Isreali pavilion and the Saab's.

watch out for the parking as they come up on the left side itself for most of the tickets (marked P1 to P7). There are boards which will help you and a lot of cops too.

Cool pics! Are tickets available at the venue ? Which parts/shows would be best with kids in tow ?

No tickets available at venue. With children it will be really tough. I had the business ticket for today and got to park with in 500m of the venue, still I was so tired of walking and standing.

The trade show is over, so you have to look for general public tickets. Show timing are at 10AM and 2PM that lasts for 2 hours.

If you do not get the tickets, an alternative will be to park your car somewhere near or on the HYD Highway and sit in the car. You can catch most of the stuff from the highway itself, but from a distance.

Be careful with traffic police. They are all over.

I went today. The tickets are available at venue. Paid 300 Rs to watch the later half of the airshow.

Look for the road that goes to Ryan International school (marked as ADVA exit on main road). Take that road all the way to the parking lot. They are selling tickets for air show, right there.

There are two food courts. They weren't really crowded today but all bets are off on the weekend. They had two coffee day stalls in each food court (total of 4 stalls), a Kamat Yatri Nivas stall in each food court and couple others as well.

As an aside, I was really disappointed with the show. Suryakiran's didn't perform their usual formations (crossing over, arrow through heart etc). Also there were no choppers in the afternoon show. Apparently in the morning, there were choppers but no Suryakirans. If it is going to be like this on weekend as well, then probably it isn't worth the time and effort this year.

I did see kingfisher stalls all over selling only water. Not sure about food.

I am surprised! Is that in black?
Or may be true with the public tickets.

Business tickets (Rs 1500/-) were also available in front of main entrance (on other side of Road). We wanted to watch only the show so we went to the other entrance. There, we bought the tickets just for the show at 300/- (it would be 400/- for the weekend). These are official tickets and rates. This parking area is right behind the Food Courts.

Thanks guys. So if we get there by 9:30am on Sunday, we should be able to buy the tickets and catch the show. Any ideas if the Volvos agree to drop you there ? Traffic may be bad, from what people tell me about earlier years.

FYI India is the largest buyer of the Sukhoi Su -30, seen it within feet of my house in S Bombay & Pune doing maneuvers. Awesome craft.

It has 2 squadrons based out of Pune and one on the INS Virat with the marine version.

50 already bought + 140 on license manufacture in India.

Great aircraft if you have seen it in action.

cheers

Here are some more from the Saturday collection.
I really missed a super zoom SLR. Most of the pics were taken with my Sony camcorder while in movie mode.
I have a better video coverage with my Sony SR-300.

I am sure more pics will follow from some of the photography enthusiasts

US air force Hercules landing. Truly amazing! I must say. The aircraft comes to a complete halt in 500m or so.
