Watched it too. Its a very good hard hitting film. Loved it. I am anxious to see what's in store for next part. Looks like RGV shot the whole film in one go and decided to split it.

And i agree with you on commentary. I would have preferred a more deeper, commanding voice like that of Amitabh Bachchan or Anupam Kher and likes. I guess its cost cutting in name of voice

But the movie is fantastic. Not recommended for faint hearted or familly who can't handle gore.

RGV is back and how? Stunning

4.5/5 (0.5 cut for bad commentator)

Saw Knock Out this weekend. My verdict : 4/5.

The basic plot has been copied from the Hollywood movie - The Phonebooth, but this movie is totally different.

The plot is average, but the performances are amazing.

It was an absolute thriller - must watch.

The Ultimate Nadir of Indian Cinema

Speaking of Nadirs, I have recently discovered what may be the ultimate Nadir of Indian cinema, namely, Manosch Kumaar Shaab's 'Clerk' which should be pronounced as 'Kalark' after a few minutes into the movie.

It is the jewel in the crown of 'So bad, it's good' cinema. Almost every aspect of this movie is nothing but 'Ham', be it the scenes, dialogues, music, fight sequences et al.

Basically it's a Sahakari Bhandaar of Ham!

It certainly doesn't deserve the Oscars, but it sure has the potential to challenge their existence. And also challenge the existence of a thread on our forum by the title, 'Calling doctors/dentists/specialists on this forum to provide free consultations'.

You wanna know how? and why?
Watch this highly popular scene from the movie wherein Dada Moni suffers a heart attack/cardiac arrest and Manosh Kumar Shaab aka Bharat Kumar cures him with the help of just two batteries!!
Yes, humble pencil cells!!!

And this scene is just the tip of the iceberg. I am sure watching 'Clerk' can help cure many more diseases, especially the ones related to stress.

The sad part though, is that this movie was supposed to speak about the importance of noble virtues like patriotism, honesty, ethics, ideals and principles in our lives and with content that should make an Indian's hair stand on end, but the eccentricity of the film-maker made the film unintentionally funny, rather hilarious and the whole movie just makes you laugh all your organs out.

My rating -50/5.
And that isn't a hyphen, it's the minus sign.

But do watch it. It's a must watch!!! Especially for the Connoisseurs of 'So bad, it's good' cinema.

And yes. The movie is worth watching.

RC has a very very tight script. Scenes were tightly swen together.

Kudos to RGV & Prashant Pandey for coming up with a strong and a tight script. Have to commend the editor "Nipun Ashok Gupta" for editing the movie to perfection. Also have to commend the Cinematography by Amol Rathod

Kudos again to RGV for the characterization. He seems to have worked out a lot on the characterization part. Each part has been given to the most potential person and has been justified.

A great portrayal of NTR by Shotgun. His Saffron dress and his impeccable voice were truly class apart.

Even if you look at his Palatial Bungalow, you will see two huge statues of Lions standing outside. Lion was his lucky mascot sorts.

I beg to differ on this. Chandrababu Naidu was never an aide of NTR. He was elected as a Congress Candidate into Legislative Assembly in 1978, which was 4 years before NTR formed Telugu Desam. He held various ministries before joining TDP. By the time he joined TDP, he was one of those very well respected people in the Political Scenario. Chandrababu Naidu was never an aide of NTR. He quit Congress to join TDP. "TOPIC IS OVER"

If you guys remember the hidden character called as SirJi, it was none other than our ex-CM YSR. It was an easy give away by the poster on the wall, which just showed a hand waving at the crowd. It was an easy thing to decipher. Moreover, his assistant was KVP, and this could be easily made out by the way the pen was put up in the shirt pocket.

Song was uncalled for, however, it was liveable. I hated the narration. Wish it was by the Big B. I believe it more of has to do with the spat between the Big B & ShotGun.

RC-2 would be a worth to watch. Love RGV's marketing tactic for the RC-2. He has preplanned the release date in such a manner that, even before a person forgets RC-1, he would have RC-2. Just in order to avoid people losing the continuity of the movie.

Not to start a controversy sorts, I felt that RGV missed out on a lot more important names in that Lunch Party. Even though, the names were imaginary names, there were a lot more who had similarities. RGV missed out on Gowliguda Shankar, Amberpet Sreenu, Yousufguda Chinna Yadav and etc. These are some of those names he could have used.

Didn't Surya act in this first part of Raktha Charithra?

Even though Chandra Babu Naidu quit Congress to join TDP, he was the master strategist for TDP under NTR. The aide in the movie has also been shown to be the chief strategist and the behind the scene player.

I thought YSR was a very small player when NTR was in power. His real political breakthough was the padayatra during Naidu's 2nd stint as CM.

Jhootha Hi Sahi

Its an average movie. Has a few laughs, some situational comedy manages to tickle the bone. Somehow the story doesn't garner much attention to keep us hooked throughout the film. I somehow feel, starcast is a misfit here. I can't really associate John Abraham as a simpleton. He has a different, dashing personality which goes well with his physique and acting. The lead lady is a bit too old but is bearable.

The songs are downer. Liked only two songs - Cry Cry and Do Nishaaniyan. To some extent liked Maiya Yashoda too. Choreography leaves a lot to be desired.

Avoidable. 2.5/5

Ok got one more to watch now. God I love these kind of movies.

Watched "Do Dooni Char"
Highly recommended. Surprised to see something good coming out of Disney Production house. The scene in which Duggal Saab asks whether the kid will leave the bad habit of Betting is one of the best scenes I have ever seen. If only parents were that wise.

Movie: Raktcharitra
My Rating: 1.5/5

This one came out as disappointment. There is nothing in the movie expect senseless manslaughter. It would have been better if they had a story to backup the useless bloodshed, the good part is the movie is divided in 2 parts and other part is releasing on 19th Nov(Thank God, they did not make it into one). Overall Poor storyline, Poor narration, pathetic songs even and ugly looking actors.

Not a single person in the Movie is good looking. Please avoid the Movie, with family or without family.

If you've heard about RayalaSeema and Cudapaa from Andhrites, you might have understood.

Ani, this is a small write up about the Brief History of Chandra Babu Naidu & NTR, Formation of Telugu Desam and etc. As opposed to he being the master strategist during the formation of TDP, he was master strategist during the later stage and not in the initial stages.

Did he give his father-in-law the idea of floating a regional party?
"He was impressed by the growth of regional parties in Tamil Nadu. But it was not Chandrababu Naidu, who gave the idea to NTR," says Professor Sai Baba.

''The legendary star thought of it after attending Bhavanam Venkatram's swearing in ceremony in the early 1980s as chief minister.''

Three years later, NTR stormed to power with a landslide majority. But Naidu could not retain his Chandragiri seat. As political hibernation threatened him, NTR summoned him and asked Naidu to join the Telugu Desam Party.

''Chandrababu reluctantly joined it,'' says Subramaniam Naidu. ''He was well aware of the caste factors in the Congress, and the Kammas felt suffocated in the party,'' says Professor Chandra Mouli. ''He felt he would have a better future in the TDP.''
''He began playing a crucial role in the TDP after Nandendla Bhaskara Rao overthrew NTR in a coup in August 1984. NTR started relying heavily on him, realising that the others around could not match his drive and hard work. Chandrababu was fully in control of the party, and it was because of his efforts that NTR had regained his chair,'' says Subramaniam Naidu.

YSR was already an established politician by the time TDP was still in its inception stage. These are a couple of ministries he held, when TDP was still in its teething stage i.e., 1982. His real political breakthrough was way back in 1980's. In 1978 he contested from pulivendula on Reddy-Congress Party and won the elections, Later he joined in Indira Congress. From 1980 to 1983 he was a minister holding important portfolios related to Rural Development, Medical Health and Education under T.Anjaiah Cabinet. He was already an established minister and was a saviour of masses by the time TDP was formed or was in inception stage. His main advantage was, the hospital the Reddy's established at Pulivendula.

Minister of state for rural development (1980–82)
Excise minister (1982)
Education minister (1982–83)
