1DAY: I know a guy in NY who offers some really great deals on pams.If you want i can hook you up with his name and no.just picked up a PAM90 from him at $4699 when the retail is 5200..and this model is hard to find...it has power reserve and is the 44mm version.
That would be great...

I love PAMs I have the Original Panerai Movement PAM Chrono 72 ed.774/1500, this one was before they changed the movement to some companies I forgot so makes it even harder to get..anyhow that baby costed me 8k, didnt get a single percent off, and this is when i do good business with that shop..anyhow they threw in a winder and strap for free and i got it shipped so no sales tax..

Default Aren't forums about discussion and read-write thread conversation?

Hey, I notice that in this thread, everybody's writing but nobody's reading.

That begs the question:
"Should this thread be more about great watches and their features?
or about a particular Team-BHPian happening to possess them?"

Did nobody find a heart-monitor watch unusual enough to merit some discussion? C'mon guys?

Ram I did read your post and was very imppresed with what the small thing does.

I thought the thread was about what watch you own with some pictures!

Although I am a little dissapointed that members here have great watches but very few original pictures to share.

I agree, i am going to take some snaps and post them soon...It would be great for other to do the same..some of my watches I keep in india, so when i go next will do the same..

If someone really wants to know more about complicated watches..and true mechanical master pieces and not digital "STUFF" then let me know , I can start a thread..and give tons of info, you will forget the complication in an automobile..I say digital "Stuff" cuz I am computer engineer and I know how easy it becomes when you are in the digital world, but compensating for gravity to give accurate time, showing time in different parts of the world, showing sureal time, showing star map, showing moon phases, jumping hour, star wheel with screws and springs is just marvelous.

I have winders, but I have asked tons of really high end stores and none of them carry one, If you want one, get it from an online store who is willing to ship it to india. It would be quite a big more but still under the duty bracket to pass customs. Otherwise when you travel out you can get one.

When you said winder, you wanted one for a automatic right and not manual, cuz manual ones cost quite a bit more, i guess in the USD 500-600 range if i am not mistaken.

My wrist is under some kind of sorcery
I have had the best watches (not price wise) getting stopped.
1) Timex Auto- was a Gift
2) Enicar Auto Swiss - My Dads 1967 watch worked perfect with Dad until 1991 later given to me and ....
3) Favre Leube Swiss Hand wound daily Automatic- Gift from Mom she had bought in Kuwait 1962 used 3 months used by me & end of story
4) Ricoh AutoJapan - Gift from Aunt 1 week end of story
5) Omax Auto Japan - Gift from Aunt 1 month end of story
6) Citizen Quartz- purchased in UAE screwed up in 2 weeks
7) Seiko Chronograph given by my Grandfather -
8) Rado - Dads gift to me and this too

Now I must say my wrist is one kind of ""big fcuk up"" the only watch which has survived is CASIO electronic. i hated electronic watches and now i have to live with one as this is doing its job great.

Casio 1750 AW-61 water resistant 10 bar Illuminator Dual time - 6 yrs now and not even changed the battery.
