Federer 5-7 7-6 7-6 3-6 16-14.
Way to go man.
Though i wanted Roddick to win.
But really a classic match.
One of the longest 5th set as far as i remember...

Great Game Roddick.
Hats off for such a fight despite no 5 setters before with Federer and only 2 wins out of 20 ( 21 now)

Feel sad for Roddick, he worked hard & deserved to win!

But, Federer was not going down easily.

YESSSSSSSS!! Federer won! I'm so happy.

A true champion. To have braved Roddick's serve and still win! He kept his head.

In the end, there wasnt much to choose between the two. I think even if Roddick had won, he would have been a deserving winner. If only they could give the trophy to both!

But Federer also totally deserved this. In spite of all the pressure, he didnt crack. Great man, that Fedex. True champion of tennis. Definitely one of the greatest ever!!

Heart break for Roddick. He played so well, infact better than Federer in most of the match.
Hopefully he continues to play in same way in future and gives some challenge to Nadal once Federer retires otherwise it will be Nadal all-over for next 5-6yrs atleast.

Unfortunately i missed the last 3-4 games because of power failure.

Wow! What a final and I am glad that I saw it all. And yes, Fedex won the final and has passed Pete's 14.

Having said this, my heart does go out for Andy while I am delighted for Roger. He played one hell of a final.

And with this win, Roger is now world #1. Congrats Roger and wish you all the very best for the US open. Go, get it Roger.

There were lot of people saying many things about Roger with his first baby due this year, but I guess he proved all of them wrong and by his own admission, things might be different next year, as there would be a lot of responsibilities with the new addition to the family.

Just have to wait and see how things shape up ... but I am sure that he would get at least another 2 or 3 grand slams before he hangs up his racket.
