brat001, we are planning to take some kebabs, some home made starters and then re-cook them in the campfire. Lot of interesting ideas from all of you. Thanks! Will be back in a new thread with pics!

At the point of sounding repetitive. I would like to advice caution.

If you are carrying cooked meat products, please handle it very carefully.
Once cooked, place the dish in a clean sterile vessel.
Absolutely no physical contact with prepared food.
Use cling wrap.
Do not use Aluminum foil.
Aluminium can react with the oils and spices and cause the meat to go bad.

If buying kabebs etc from a restaurant, please be very careful with the packing standards.

Double caution with marine food products.

^ Yup. Will be cautious. We will be buying the food on the way to the farm. So only a few hours between packing and consuming.

Default Re: Campfire / Barbeque /Grill - Crude cooking methods/equipment :Suggestions require

Guys, Thought of starting a new thread, but as there was an already existing one, here goes my query.
I got myself an outdoor barbeque with a set of skewers etc. Now, I need to know where I can get essential barbeque supplies in Blr ie, coal, spices/masala specially used for barbeque. I can get coal from my local dhobi, but is it ok to use that or are there places where I can buy it? Any inputs here appreciated
