Sorry to hear about your loss.Take care. I had myself witnessed a ghastly accident one night somewhere near panvel on the NH. Though the biker was at fault the sight i witnessed still gives me nightmares.

I have added this link and quote on a cyclists forum i am on. There is a hyundai service centre in thane too ( in case the driver tries to get it repaired out of n.mumbai)

Prayers to the family.

My Sincere condolences to you & your family Dueller.
RIP Tarun

Dueller, on my part I shall be on a look out for white accent. From the parts you found, is it possible to say if the car damaged on the right side or left?

I have also observed that lot of people trying to join in to palm beach marg from any of the junctions are very careless. If this accident happened closer to a junction, maybe the car was trying to join the Palm beach road. In that case, it maybe from one of the surrounding buildings.

Malgudi, the car should have damage to its left side as I imagine. After losing control, the driver would have turned right to avoid going down the shoulder at approx. 30 degree angle w.r.t the road. Even the foliage flattened by the car is almost the length of a car. As a result, the left side of the car, tail lights and rear windshield were damaged when they flattened barricade poles.

This accident happened midway between Nerul and Vashi where there are no exits and usually people speed.

Cant we use RTO register and check for white accent 2000 make ?? May be some RTO officials or press people can help in this regard.
RTO these days are maintaining central databases on all registration infos.

The task will be tedious but a sure shot one.

May soul of departed RIP.
