Thanks Prasad. Frankly, this view is not visible on a daily basis. Only about 10-15 days in a year, western ghats are clearly visible like this. Otherwise, it is hidden in the haze.
Most MIT students can look upon the same valley if they look out of their hostel or college window.
BTW, my company is too small to accommodate senior level people. I hire only freshies.

Come to technopark - Trivandrum, you get to see the Arabian Sea from your window, and sometimes the mountains like this in the east, if sky is clear. But anytime, a view with lots and lots of greenery is guaranteed.

Remember seing this pic in the color version, This looks quite nice than the color version where the green shade was a bit dull.
Just a thought. Is there a way you can make those different shades of hills a bit more conspicous by increasing the Darkness.

Couple of years back Rudra spent barely 5 minutes on one of the images I had shot in 1.5MP using Sony Cybershot F-717, and got this.

Have visited this section after a long time and saw some awesome snaps of the avaian family by Redrage & Sree. Like Sharath, I too am not a birdie so don't have much shots of them.
Here are a few of B&Ws from my side. Hope you guys like it:
These street urchins in Manali were watching a street performance
This grasshopper was on my balcony. It actually looks better in colour
This is my daughter; was playing Uno at a roadside eatery in Panamik, J&K
All these photographs were shot in colour as well as monochrome. Grasshopper with D40, Daughter with 40D and the street urchins with D80
