Sorry if it offended you, the word ugly only relates to the grimy water being pictured, your shot is alright.. Beautiful in the sense that the action is frozen very well. It was an impulsive comment

@14,000rpm
Well, it's shot in manual mode with macro enabled, with a sony DSC H50. My first proper digital camera, about a year and a half ago. Actually its easier to shoot these kind of macro images with a point n shoot rather than a dslr.

Can you just elaborate on this point. How P&S makes it easier than DSLR on a macro.
