1. MG is one very very good album. "baagicha-e-atfal hai duniya mere age.."

2. Somehow, I didnt like Marasim at all.. I bought the CD assumig its gonna be a deadly combo, but seriously it failed to impress me.

A small correction : The actual poetry goes as "Baazeecha - e - atfal hai.."
Baazeecha means play/sport and atfal is plural of tifl meaning child. So Baazeecha -e- atfal means children's play, bachchon ka khel, nothing serious, like a tamaasha etc.

Thanks Navneet..

I perceived this line this way..i.e. its a playground of bacchon ka khel!

Thumbs up

Title song of "Neem ka peed" is one of my most favorite:

"Muah ki baat sune har koi
Dil ke jakhm ko jane kon
Aawajo kei baazaro mein
Khamoshi pehchane kon"

'Shaam se ankh mein nami si hain' is a good one from Marasim.

I have been to 3 concerts and have been listening to singhsaab since I was 18. well he has all the moods in his armour but my favs. are Ghalib, A journey, his first hit baat niklegi to.

And while sitting with friends over a drink always remember to play " maan mausam ka kaha chhai ghata jaam utha..Aag se aag bujha phool khila jaam utha.

and the ghazal which is my caller tunes also is " hazaroon khwahishe aisi.

Have fun.

A few gems I came across in the past few months:

1. Ab mere paas tum aayi ho
2. Dil hi toh hai
3. Hazaaron Khwahishein aisi
4. Ek brahman ne kaha hai
5. Aah ko chahiye
6. Kaun aayega yahaan
7. Kabhi yun bhi toh ho
(A fusion of 5 and 6 that he sang during a concert. Video available on Youtube)
8. Tere khat
9. Har taraf har jagah
10. Gham ka khazana
11. Apne haathon ki lakeeron mein
12. Dost ban ban ke mile
13. Jeevan kya hai
14. Apni marzi se kahan apne safar ke hum hain.
