My weight yesterday while exiting the GYM was 105.120 Kg, while on 9th of April I was 115.18 Kg.

Running on the treadmill is something I love doing most, currently my best performance is 3.6 kms in 24 mins, I am aiming for 5 kms in 30 mins.
Are you sure this is ok for your keens even at 105?

I started going to gym regularly from 04/16/2012. Starting weight was 228 lbs and currently I am at 208 lbs. I have lost 20 lbs in 7 weeks. I have set my net calorie goal of 1200 (total calories consumed less total calories burned). I have been doing cardio 5 days a week (except Thursday and Sunday). Usual time spent of treadmill is around 34 minutes at 5.3MPH and 6 minutes at 3.3 MPH making sure that heart rate does not go over 150 and around 30 minutes on elliptical ensuring that heart rate hovers around 120-125.

So far I am for fine with the schedule with amount of exercise that I am doing and do not feel tired or fatigued. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong.

By the way, here is the app that I use to calculate my calorie intake. I found it very helpful in food intake: MyFitnessPal.

@KSM: I am not sure but I haven't experienced any issue like pain or anything as of now.

Just for records managed 4 kms in 25 mins yesterday, weight while exiting the Gym was 104.7, whopping 11.1 Kg less than my original weight.

I am aiming for sub 100 kgs by the end of this month.

My friend and I have been jogging for the last 1.5 months. We cover around 4 to 4.5 km in half an hour on a treadmill. Off late though he had been complaining of knee pain and this week he quit jogging. He now plans to just do brisk walking.

Now I am like totally confused as to whether I should continue with my jogging or not. As of now I have not faced any knee pain but very anxious after seeing my friend's case.

Over the last few months of excessive outside food and no work out / jogging at all and a desk job i had put on pretty much. About 15 days ago at a family function my family dr. (who is also my cousin) gave a earful about my age to weight ratio. It got me thinking and i spoke to him the next day for advice.

He asked me to follow a simple home food schedule and walk atleast 40 mins a day. I am someone who cannot work out in a gym. I am not a treadmill person. Fortunately; there is a cricket stadium 3 mins away from my office where i go every evening after work for my walk / jog.

So i started the below schedule since last Monday; 4th June 2012.

8:30 am: Sugar less Tea and a light snack
10: am : Apple
11:30 : Sugar less Coffe / tea at office.
13:00 - 13:30 : Lunch (2 ghee less rotis; sabji & Salad)
17:00 : Sugar less tea with Khakhra ( Sorry guys, dunno what its called in Hindi or English)
18:00 : I reach the stadium which has a 500 mtrs walking track around the ground where I do a total of 10 rounds in combination of walk; brisk walking & jogging totaling 5 kms. I do in breaks of 3-3-4. between each i take a break of 5 to 7 mins.
20:00 : Dinner at home. ( 3 ghee less rotis; sabji; Dal & Salad)

Over this one week i have cut down or rather stopped eating fried foods; sweets; butter; cheese etc. On 4th June i weighed 88.23 kgs and today its 84.13 kgs.

Once a week i feast myself with outside food (READ : SUBWAY) where i have a 6" Sub with NO CHEESE & NO MAYO.

It feels good. Personally i don't feel that i am over doing anything or doing something like a "crash diet". I am having healthy & timely food portions. and post every dinner; i give enough time to myself before i crash into bed; approx 3 hours. I plan to keep up with this schedule as long as possible.

Regards,

A simple technique is to avoid sugar in Tea or Coffee and also to keep away from soft drinks & sweets. Results of weight loss would start from the first week itself.

Try doing more of the crosstrainer. Avoid jogging for 5 kms with that weight. It would take a lot of toll on your knees. I was 111 at the meet in haveli. Started gyming now with more stress on the cross-trainer. Reached 107 in a month. The beauty of the machine is that it doesn't hurt your knees at all. Try it.
