Page 2 of todays "The Hindu" has an article about car logo thefts. The article has quoted a few views from the logo missing thread that we have here.

"Meanwhile, posts by Bangaloreans on the website of Team BHP, a discussion forum for car enthusiasts, reflects the rising rate of this nuisance in the city."

Free publicity!! And a great acknowledgement.

The Hindu : Karnataka / Bangalore News : Beware, your car logo can be stolen

Cool! Maybe the writer is a TBHP-ian as well. Or he must have googled and TBHP must have been on top of the list.

Unni has added the link to the article in The Hindu. Here's a quote from the article.

“There is a definite increase in the number of cars without logos on Bangalore roads,” said a Bangalorean on the forum. “What use is a logo other than to sell it in the grey market?”

Nice . Thanks for sharing unni.ak. There were a ton more interesting comments which the journalist should have picked up. Namely, its a catch 22 situation. As long as car owners keep buying used logos from the grey market, they will continue to be flicked from parked cars. Thus, it is us car owners who fuel the demand for stolen badges!
