All cars in our family have 4740 number plates - only exception being my palio which has 8436. Got it on purpose so that I have some privacy here.

No SWATHYD With some Political Influence I got the Number. It is Written just as Single 7 so that it remains Exclusive. The Baleno is surprisingly a Great Car to Drie and to be Chaffeured. Great Pick Up ; Good Milleage ; Superb A/c and all together an Excellent Package at an Excellent Price .

My previous car was Ford Ikon Nxt No. 4748;
B4 that An Esteem No. 88

I think that 88 was unlucky for me .BEfore the Day of Selling the Car I had to give treat to my Friend . Had a Bath in Liquor and met with a Big Accident in which I was terribly Injured and admitted in Apollo fo 25 Days and sold the car for 25000 Rs .

Default registration number of your choice?

sorry mods.
i did a search but i couldnt find a place to post this.
pls relocate at will.

i was wondering if any one could guide me on getting a new car registration number of my choice.think it was termed 'fancy number scheme' by the RTO's here.
does one need contacts,cough up some bread or just pay a fee?
how long does this take,how much does it cost and is it possible to register your car in another state than in the one you live?

thanks!

I paid 6000(fee )+ 2000 ( bribe ) to get fancy number for my car here in bangalore.It is the same number of my bike.In each state it differs but not very much. But be ready to shell out minimum of 8-10K for that kind of stuff.

I got the number through my dealer itself and that is the simple thing we can do, since i don't want to waste couple of days in RTO office for this.

These guys can do it in one day to one week of time. ( for me they took 4 days)
For registering in other state than what u live, ....... i am not sure on this and i guess u have to pay the road tax of both the states. Probably experts can put some more light on it.

For getting a special number you have to cough up fees to the RTO. If you have contacts then the Fees will be less. For numbers like 1,5,7 its 15000

P.S which number do you want?
